I had the best Nyonya food in the whole Selangor today. It was upon chance that we coincidentally came to this cafe when we were looking for a place for dinner. We ordered the RM 35 set for two pax, for any item chosen in the list of about 12 nyonya dishes. After tax, it was RM 38.50.The Ayam Pontek was so delicious. The sauce is so thick and full of flavour. Every spoonful is like a spoon of Malaccan heaven. The chicken was nicely coated with the sauce. Very flavoursome. The chicken is also ten

The Ayam Pontek was so delicious. The sauce is so thick and full of flavour. Every spoonful is like a spoon of Malaccan heaven. The chicken was nicely coated with the sauce. Very flavoursome. The chicken is also tender. I feel that the chicken almost tasted like the one I had in Melaka cafe. Totally satisfying.
Each of us was served a small bowl of sweet soup consistinf of small chopped celeries and also carrot cubes.
The best part was the non-spicy sambal baby octopus. In fact, the octopus is so cute and each one could not even be felt when thrown into the mouth. Too bad the sambal was not spicy like the one we had in Penang. I really love this dish and the way they cook it with onions and also tomatoes. The dish is very sweet.
When my colleague told the boss that the soup is so sweet and tasty, the boss immediately gave us another two bowls.
The rice was served in a shape of a rugby which quite special.
To test how original is the Nyonya food here, I asked for the sambal belacan. The sambal was not spicy at all and contains of mostly natural chilli. The best part is that it is not as oily as KL sambal belacan.
I really love the ambience here and the decoration which is very nyonya like. On the sides of the paneling there are tiffin carriers.
I am definitelt bringing my other colleagues here to try the incredible original Nyonya styled food.
