Sometimes on and off it is a must to come here. Buffet lunch at RM 88 on a Sunday seems fine, especially fro birthdays and special occasions. This time, I am lucky to get a birthday treat by my mother's classmates who came from Penang.

WARNING: This is going to be quite long review for almost every dish in Jogoya buffet (except some

Since there were five of us, the waitress gave us each a Japanese Plum Wine which we used to make a toast for my birthday with wishes of beauty and everything else good.

SASHIMI, SUSHI, RAW FOOD BUFFET:

The first place to hit is definitely the sashimi and sushi buffet. There is myriad of fresh salmon, all very thick and juicy.

The fresh raw octopus were also a delight. I especially like the small plates of fresh oysters with a special green sauce and raw cabbage to eat together. I loved it so much so I took one plate for each of us.

Luckily I did not take too many of the fresh oysters from the big shells as the one I tasted had some sand inside. Anyway, my mum's classmate, Cindy said that it was nice. I had mine with the Tabasco sauce and lemon.

The crab was very fresh. Thank god mum was there to peel the crab for me.

The abalone salad was also very tasty and all these seafood is the secret to Jogoya's success and popularity till today.

The Capracio Salmon, lightly smoked is amazing and freshness is a quality we like here.

The humongous raw scallop with some light sauce is so amazing. Definitely one that every scallop lover would sing praises of.

The raw lobster with mayo was also fantastic, though a bit to the cheesy side.

The raw seaweed and fake shark's fin are my favourites in every Japanese restaurant. the raw ebi salad with mango pieces was also a great combination.

The egg in a mini jug was something that we did not know how to eat though great for pictures. So I would not be able to judge it for you as I am not really a fan of eggs.

I would say that even eating at the sashimi platter alone is more than enough at Jogoya.
