I intended to go to Fat Spoon, where I wanted to try the mains but since our car happened to be parked a bit further away but near Dai Ban Noodles whose name sounded Japanese. I intended to go to Fat Spoon, where I wanted to try the mains but since our car happened to be parked a bit further away but near Dai Ban Noodles whose name sounded Japanese. When I went nearer to Dai Ban, I noticed that it is actually a Chinese cafe selling affordably priced food.

My friend ordered Dai Ban Assam Laksa (RM 8.90) which came in a big portion, probably according to its RM 8.90 price. The laksa was not bad but it is not as sour and spicy as the Penang laksa but eatable. The best part is that there are a lot of vegetables and ingredients which is my favourite part of the laksa.

I ordered the Chelsea Noodles which came with smoked duck with very crispy skin. The skin of the duck was so crispy that I was tempted to eat it. The texture of the duck was incredible and the taste slightly salty, better than the normal duck at the duck rice shop. The price of RM 7.50 for both is very worth it. The noodles, was just plain instant noodle type, and did not live up to its unique name. I think it was just given this unique name to disguise the normalness of the noodles.

I ordered the warm Herbal Loh Han Kuo (RM 1.50) which was quite tasty and not as sweet as the ones sold usually by other cafes.

I particularly like the walls which were painted with egg, onions. and some creative words.
