Puchong is a place so famous of food, but like other places, you can find food in everywhere but you might have to spend some effort to get a really good one. Ampang, Jalan Ipoh and Puchong are among the places that are famous for Yong Tau Fu (YTF) in Klang Valley. You might have heard of Puchong Batu 14 Yong Tau Fu, which is always packed with people and traffic as it is just opposite a primary school. Well, if you are a YTF fans, like me, there is an air-conditioned restaurant serving good YTF plus chee cheung fun (flat rice noodles in cantonese) in Bandar Puteri Puchong. The portion and soup base is very much similar to the Batu 14 YTF, but their chee cheung fun and the taste of other home cook food are something I would crave for.
They have recently moved from Jalan Puteri 2/4 to Jalan Puteri 2/2, Bandar Puteri Puchong.
They have assorted raw vegetables and bean curd on a long table for your pick. It is a typical home-style chinese restaurant without much wow effect, but it is quite clean and comfortable to dine in.
Ta-da! It's the YTF and vegetables in soup. The choices range from bean curd, fu-chok, lady's fingers, brinjal, fish ball, dumpling, pork skin, bitter guard and many more. They even have cabbage wrap! The fish paste is pure and fresh.
And this is the chee cheung fun I have been talking about. The soft and thin flat rice noodles is topped with sesame abd specially made sauce that makes it so delicious. The best part of the specially made sauce is the shrimp paste that instantly fills your mouth with fragrant and bright taste of shrimp. Heaven! It could be better if they could serve the noodles slightly warmer, but I still like it even it's a little cold.
If you are going in a group and would like to try a little of everything, you can try the other dishes like curry chicken and assam stingray.
