As an accompaniment to my banana leaf rice, some fried bittergourd is a must. I would normally not take bittergourd, but this fried version definitely did not have any bitterness at all. The bittergourd is dipped in light batter before being fried to golden perfection. It is served on a small plate, and I would usually require at least two servings of this. Crunchy and delectable, it was well worth the money (and calories). A word to the wise, best try to flick out the seeds inside the bittergou
