There aren't many good ramen places in KL and this is one of the best I've tried. I've heard of a few good ones but hasn't got the chance to try them out. Mukashi Special Ramen, RM 24

The signature ramen, a must have when your at Yamagoya. Served in tonkotsu (pork bone) broth, topped with spring onions, ear fungus, 2 slices of cha-siu, seaweed, beansprouts, bamboo shoots and soy sauced egg. The noodles was superb with the wholesome broth paired is pure flavoursome. The thing I liked about their ramen is that their broth are milky yet think but not too oily and are really smooth.

The pork bone stock broth are flown in all the way from Japan, and reboiled at the outlet while everyday soup is freshly boiled again daily to prevent the pork oil to be too oily in the soup.

Miso Ramen, RM 24

Blending two different soup together, Miso Ramen has a refreshing taste with a slight tinge of spicyness adds flavour to the entire bowl of ramen, it has a very significant unique taste. Served with 2 slices of char -iu, bamboo shoots, ear fungus, beansprouts and topped with spring onions.

Char-siu are extremely good. With the right amount of fats, it's tender, thin sliced with perfect taste and aroma of the pork. We were also told by the outlet manager that he would go to the pork supplier to source for the best pork by smelling it fresh and raw, he can identify which is the good ones they would order.

Yamagoya Soy Sauced Egg, RM 4

Eggs are boiled with soy sauce and other ingredients enabling the fragrance to enter into the egg bypassing the shells. Therefore, the boiled eggs have a great colouring texture of light brown and extra contrast on the egg yoke.

Fried Chicken, RM 11

Squeeze some lemon juice over the crispy fried chicken and just eat it that way, without any sauce or dressing. It's thin crispy fried chicken, one bite and you could taste how juicy it is with the lemon juice squeezed earlier it completes you and just craving for more. The chicken doesn't taste flat at all and we asked the outlet manager for it's secret in making fried chicken, he said, by selecting good chicken; specifically all these ball rolled fried chicken is made out from only the thigh of Kampung Chicken!

Not forgetting, Mugi Cha, RM 2

Best served cold, mugi cha is a drink you should order in Yamagoya Ramen as it's rare to be seen in Japanese restaurants around KL. The reason to be served cold and it's the only option in Yamagoya Ramen is because when mugi cha is served hot you'll taste the slight bitter taste in the tea itself, hence they only have one option which is cold.
