I finally managed to try out Hui Lau Shan's famous mango desserts in their Pavilion outlet on Monday with Ester during our lunch break. I chose Hui Lau Shan's Mango Romance set which consisted of three types of mango desserts. This is a good way to taste more variety of desserts without needing to order separate individual desserts. Mango Romance (RM 12.90)The mango mochi is accompanied with a few slices of mango and was coated with coconut shreds. The mochi skin is made of mango and mango flesh were inside of the mochi. I don't really like the mochi because the skin is quite sticky and the coated with too much coconut shreds. This makes the mochi covered with coconut taste instead of mango.
Next, the mango icy crystal jelly consisted of one scoop of mango ice cream, mango flesh and jelly underneath of the ice cream. The ice cream taste not bad but make sure you eat it when it is still frozen to have the best of it. The jelly is actually tasteless, therefore, eat it with the mango to have some taste.
Lastly, the mango pieces and glutinous rice ball is my favourite. The ingredients were served in a bowl containing mango puree/juice. The mango is sweet and I loved the think puree. The chewy glutionous rice balls are also nice to eat with the mango.
