If you love Penang street food, Champ's have the upper class version of it. At first you will doubt, how can Penang street food taste good at a restaurant, the feel is just different! Well, I assure you that Richard Nah does not compromise in the quality of his food. You will be blown away with the Pork Noodles with its thick broth and hearty noodles. You will be overjoyed to find bits of deep friend pork oil garnishing the bowl of warm and inviting noodles. Surely you will finish the noodles to the very last drop and it will still keep you asking for more. Then there is the Char Kuey Teow where people ask why should I pay more for a plate of fried noodles? here's why. The recipe is Champ's own and it is as every bit as flavorful as the best Char Keuy Teow in Penang. For local Penangnites in Klang Valley, if you miss Penang food you know where to get some now continue reading

Sometimes, some food or restaurants are just famous for the sake of being famous. I have heard so much about the prawn mee here, and actually people have been teeling me the prawn noodle was not nice. But, if it was not nice, what was the rave about? Apparently, they serve really big head prawns with pork ribs in the noodle. Well, the expensive noodle is not very tasty. The price you paid is for the price of the prawns. continue reading

Shanghai Pork Chop (RM18.90). It came with 3 big pieces of pork chops, and a big bowl of rice, very generous indeed for the price tag. The pork chops were juicy and tender. However, the sauce was very sweet, too sweet until I could not eat it alone, I have eat it with the rice. After a while, I really could not take in anymore of the sweetness. The ambiance was dark but the seating was spacious. continue reading

This "original recipe" wasabi bacon pasta sounded really good on paper, but I'm sad to announce that the appeal ends pretty much there.First of all, I didn't taste any wasabi at all. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Second problem, the bacon was so tough. Despite the relatively generous quantity, I couldn't help but be utterly and completely disappointed. Flavour-wise, the bacon wasn't bad at all - salty and full of that "oily porky" flavour. The pasta was overly soaked in sauce that tasted neither eggy nor milky. It was just tasteless creaminess that I forced myself to finish because I paid for it. The lettuce and tomato wedges were completely out of place. The tomato was super hot and added nothing but some sourness that didn't match the dish. The dish could've been so much better if the bacon was tender, and they just kept it simple with a pomodoro sauce instead. continue reading
