continue reading

I decided to have my dinner at Canton-i after getting a haircut in Pyramid. Do you feel the name Canton-i is somehow a bit familiar? Canton-i is actually manage by the same people by dragon-i, same ownership. The difference of Canton i and dragon i is that canton i serves Hong Kong food and dragon i serves shanghainese food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like those typical Chinese style. Classy with Chinese decor. Soft music is playing at the background and it give you a very relaxing feeling. Wet tissue and the packaging. 1st i ordered Baked BBQ Pork Pastry. crispy on the outside and soft and worm in the inside. The bbq pork filling is very yummy, with the sauce oozing out. I wanted to order more of the dim sum like egg tart, and the steam ones, but its already sold out! I ordered this Wonton Noodles With 2 Combinations. The 2 combinations can be choose from Wonton, "Sui Kow" Dumplings, Honey-Glazed BBQ Pork, Roast Duck, Roast Pork Belly, Japanese Pork Rib, Soy Sauce Chicken Or Beef Brisket. I have chosen the Roast Duck and roast pork belly. I normally do not eat wontan mee, i could say its not my fav food, in all my food list. For this one, the picture looks so tempting, and when my food arrived, i was not disappointed! I have to agree the noddle was much more nicer than the ones we could get outside. The duck meat is roasted to perfection, crispy and tender in the inside. The roast pork is very Yummy too. my friend ordered Assorted Roast Meat, Beancurd, Sausage, Egg With Rice. from what my friend told me, she was so disappointed with the portion of the meat serve. She just cannot seem to forget the one she ask in Hong Kong. She say the portion is so much more and the price is cheaper. But at the end the assorted roast meat taste very nice, just the portion is a bit small. Last i ordered a dessert Sesame Dumplings In Ginger Soup. This one is not so good and when they serve the black sesame that is suppose to be inside the glutinous ball has leak out and contaminated the ginger soup. the ginger soup has a strong ginger smell and gives you a little heat on the stomach after u drink it warm. Overall this dessert taste nice. continue reading

Canton-I specializes in serving authentic hong kong dishes and I love going there for their congee but that day I went their congee ran out. I was quite disappointed because it was only like 8 something at night. But then I gave their noodles a try and ordered their signature prawn wanton noodles which cost about RM10+ per bowl. The bowl consists of wanton noodles, soup and prawn wanton. Let me start with the soup, the soup tastes amazing. The flavors are so good, can't describe in words. The noodles in the other hand was so smooth. The prawn wanton tasted so good and had the right amount of seasonings Overall, a good dish! continue reading
