Thinking of a cool, serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life? Then you may want to pay a visit to this rooftop restaurant for a good dining experience. It is located at the rooftop of Anggun Boutique, off Jalan Tong Shin. It holds quite a nice view of Bukit Bintang and the environment is cosy as well. One of the best place if you’re looking for some romantic dimmed light dinner They also have unique ceramics as washing sinks which were artistically-crafted.The drink was served almost instantly. And I opt for their refreshing Lemon Grass drink. It was cooling with a tinge of Lemon Grass fragrance.Soon the meal had arrived. Thai Sweet , Sour & Spicy Chicken with Steamed Fragrance Rice.- Indeed was good taste especially with the lemon grass along. Chicken fillets were tangy with savory gravy which was not too spicy (had earlier requested chef to be mild on the chillies, hehe)- Rice were fluffy and nice when eaten hot- Then best end on a sweet note with Vanila Ice Cream dessert ad my choice! ^^ continue reading

A ROOFTOP HAVEN IN THE HEART OF KLBubu Rooftop Restolounge, the first culinary outing by Anggun, is set on the rooftop garden terrace of this 1920s converted shophouses located right smack in the hip Tengkat Tong Shin Street in Bukit Bintang. The restaurant is the only rooftop garden restolounge in KL and is an oasis in the city. We went there around 1pm, it's really surprise us when we reach there. It's a lovely relaxing ambience restaurant, with overhanging fish-trap inspired lamps and some woody table and chair. We are just like tourists, walking around bukit bintang, take some photos and have our lunch here.Thai Green Chicken Curry - This is nice, so rich of coconut milk and yet delicious. The chicken is nicely cooked to a tender finish. This is also same with the one we had at Sawasde Thai, the only thing different is this is more spicy.Fried Chicken With Spices - This is average, the chicken is quite tender and not so oily. But it will be a bit dry to have it together with the white rice. Luckily we ordered thai green chicken curry too.Just a normal ice-cream. continue reading

Anggun KL is a place not to be missed if you are planning to have a nice romantic holiday in KL. The Anggun Boutique Hotel along Tengkat Tong Shin just adjacent to Jalan Alor and the hotel looks very authentic and beautifully made. I am coming for food from the hotel. The place is simply beautiful decorated with “bubu”. The “bubu” is a equipment which is used in kampung (villages) to catch fishes. The name of Bubu comes from here where the restaurant is decorated with bubu which is being customized into beautiful lights. Lets see what we dineWild Mushroom Soup is where the mushroom are freshly blend to make the soup and you can taste bit and bites of the real mushroom taste. It is quite thick in terms of textures as well.Price: RM 9.00Indian mamak mee is one of the noodles which is recomended. The fried rice comes with minced chicken meat and the yellow noodle is fried till kinda dry. The noodles serves nice and delighting with a slight spiciness on it.Price: RM 15.00 continue reading

Bubu Rooftop RestoloungeNo. 7 & 9, Tengkat Tong Shin (Off Jln Bukit Bintang),50200 Kuala LumpurTel: +603-21458003Email: reservations@anggunkl.comWebsite: http://www.anggunkl.com/restaurant/ Opening HoursBreakfast & Lunch: 7:30 am – 2.30 pmDinner: 7:00 pm – 10:30 pmArriving at 8pm that night, it was already dark, yet the restaurant brings out that romantic, cool ambiance perfect for families, and couple wanting to have a quiet dinner away from the hustle of city life. The unique part about this restaurant was, we were so close to Jalan Bukit Bintang where it was full of people, yet up in Bubu Rooftop Restolounge, there was this serene feeling away from the crowds. All these years, Bubu Restolounge served as an in-house restaurant for the guests of Anggun KL. We were promptly served with some dishes prepared by the 2 chefs that Bubu Restolounge had.Overall, the taste was okay, more to the indian style of cooking since one of Bubu's Restolounge was from India. Lots of spices were put in for the curry, which was a good thing, but personally to me, it tasted like any average Malaysian dishes. The prawns used in their spicy prawns dish were fresh and I think this would rank as my favourite dish for this round.Full Review at Isaactan.Net continue reading
