1. Pan Heong @ Batu Caves

For Sang Har Mee, a minimum order of 2 fresh water prawns is compulsory (RM54 for 2 prawns); hence, it is best to visit the place with at least a friend. Their Sang Har Mee is stir-fried by the restaurant’s owner himself to ensure all Sang Har Mee is cooked to perfection with creamy sauce rich in prawn and egg flavors.

2. Kow Siew @ Pandan Indah

Kow Siew, Sang Har Mee, Pandan Indah, KLSang Har Mee, Kow Siew Probably the least famous among the 6 restaurants, yet Kok Siew serves one of the best Sang Har Mee in KL. Occupying a ordinary shop lot, the restaurant has operated for more than 20 years. The main chef is a female chef who has many years of culinary experience in preparing Cantonese style fried noodles. Their Sang Har Mee is skillfully stir-fried until the prawn’s creamy prawn roe is melted and turns the gravy into red-orange color with rich flavors.

3. Sang Kee @ near Petaling Street

Their version of Sang Har Mee is relatively dry with large-sized fresh water prawns, yee mee, vegetables, spring onion, and egg. Most of the customers here are working crowd from offices nearby.

4. Soo Kee @ Imbi

Soo Kee, Imbi, KLSang Har Mee, Soo Kee Soo Kee is the oldest Sang Har Mee restaurant in the city center. The restaurant is also known as Dai Xu Tao, because the shop used to be located under a big tree at Kota Raya. Their famous Sang Har Mee is pretty pricey (ranging from RM50 to RM70 for one large fresh water prawn), because the shop is located at a popular tourist area. Those who have a limited budget, can try their Seafood Fried Noodles or Beef Fried Noodles, which are equally delicious and full of wok hei.

5. Kit Kee (Keong Kee's Son) @ Subang

Kit Kee, Imbi, KLSang Har Mee, KL, Kit Kee The famous Keong Kee Sang Har Mee restaurant at Imbi has closed early this year, as the owner has decided to retire. Good news is that his son has opened a new Sang Har Mee restaurant in Subang, offering the same mouth-watering Sang Har Mee with huge fresh water prawns imported from India. What’s more, the Sang Har Mee here is currently selling at a promotional price that is slightly cheaper than the old shop in Imbi to attract more new customers. Apart from Sang Har Mee, Keong Kee’s one-of-its-kind Har Lok Mee is also available here.

6. Green View @ Petaling Jaya
