For those who fancy some Japanese fare, the restaurant offers a wide selection of sushi & sashimi platters that are fresh and of the highest quality. 2. Marini’s on 57 @ PETRONAS Twin Towers

Marini’s on 57 is the highest bar, restaurant and lounge in Malaysia. The most prestigious name in Japanese cuisine has arrived in KL. Located on the 56th floor, Nobu provides an amazing view of the city. If you have an adventurous palate, try the “Omakase” or chefs tasting menu here, which allows guests to enjoy a multi-course menu specially crafted by the chef himself to the guests’ liking. Otherwise, you can try the legendary Black Cod Miso that has been the talk of the town in all five continents. Signature has just recently revamped their menu with more new and interesting dishes. One of these dishes is the Teriyaki Grilled Striploin, which is a Wagyu with a marbling of seven. Hemisphere opened its doors in December 2014 and has an unblocked view of both the Twin Towers and KL Tower. They pride themselves in making the dishes fresh daily, which are free from MSG. The Hemisphere Chicken is a very healthy dish where the chicken chop is pan seared rather than deep fried. Certainly a guilt free indulgence for those who are on a diet. The Squid Ink Pasta in Garlic Broth is a good alternative to the heavy cream sauce. The chef’s cleverly disguised the smell of squid, which some people dislike, with a hearty doses of garlic, pasta, and Thai chili.

8. Gobo Upstairs @ Traders Hotel

This cosy restaurant was named after the Gobo lighting, which is a physical stencil slotted in front of a light source to create and control the shape emitted from the light source. Gobo offers a close-up view of the twin towers due to its relatively short distance from the towers. In the afternoon, Gobo serves a delectable Executive Business Lunch and at night it transforms into a popular steakhouse. A must-try is their Filet Mignon served on a bed of truffle risotto and a side of buttered vegetable sauce and bordelaises sauce. Also popular is the Braised Short Ribs that are so tender that it falls off the bone effortlessly.

9. Cantaloupe @ Jalan Binjai

Cantaloupe is one of the latest fine dining destinations that has become quite popular lately. Overlooking the KLCC park and the Twin Towers, the restaurant offers panoramic views of the city’s skyline. The menu features a variety of French-inspired dishes, such as the chorizo-dusted scallop with caramelized onions served with wild seasonal mushrooms, parsley foam & ancho chili oil. For the seafood fans, try the pan-roasted gurnard, which is a rare fish found in Atlantic and Mediterranean oceans.
