Raining seasons always happen in Malaysia, so what comes in mind when the cloud turns dark? Yes! You will definitely want to have some 'Hot' foods that will warm you up! Steamboat or Claypot food sounds good?When it comes to steamboat, think of the ingredients you loved most; or a hot claypot of salted egg and century egg porridge? Can’t wait for the adventure? Well, let’s begin our journey with good recommended restaurants from 小宝;爱美食 爱分享 ! （The restaurants are listed in no particular order. Some of the establishments below are not halal）

1. Popo Steamboat Cafe

First stop we drop by at Popo Steamboat in KL. Let’s begin with their signature soup base – Pork Bone Soup base. It is cooked with herbs and mixed with pork bone. It tastes fresh and sweet whereas the soup is boiled for hours. In the restaurant, the environment is comfortable with the music’s playing softly. Other than their signature dish, there are 8 type of soups are awaiting you to choose such as borsch soup, Teochew style soup、vegetarian soup, Pig's Stomach Pepper soup, See Chuan Ma La soup, plain chicken stock soup and tom yam too. Other than these soup and the signature dishes, the owner too recommended their Combo Home Made Meatball. The meat balls is made from prawns, Mushroom pork meat ball, fish ball and pork meatball. Another specialty of their special invented recipe of Wine infused Chicken Wings! Soft fragrant from the wine makes it even better!

2. Zui Din Fong Steamboat

After much understanding of what Chicken Pot is, the soup of the chicken clay pot is spicy. So if you are the one who can eat spicy food, you can opt for hotter and spicier too! Once the chicken clay pot had served on the table, you can smell it immediately. The chicken clay pot is covered with Parsley. As for the soup, it is boiled overnight to make sure it achieves the best from it! Ingredients such as Onions and Green pepper are used in the soup. As for the chicken used are usually 'Kampung' chicken. The owner of the restaurant has recommended us to eat with rice because it will be much more delicious! Choices of half a chicken for RM33 or whole chicken for RM40; as we are not sure about the portion serve, we choose the half chicken pot. Since the portion is not enough for us, so every additional ingredients are charged at RM5 / plate. Fresh and delicious ingredients ensured. As for now, there are 2 soup base of Chicken Pot and Pork Bone Broth. Remember to visit this steamboat restaurant in KL for delicious hot food!

3. Gourmet Garden

There are many types of soup base for steamboat such as Tom Yam Soup, Asam Laksa Soup, Chrysanthemum soup, Ma La spicy soup or porridge broth, which one do you prefer? Known as BFF Steamboat Restaurant previously, they have now changed it to Gourmet Garden Restaurant. Besides steamboat, this steamboat restaurant in KL have Bak Kut Teh as well. Uses Pork bone as their soup base, they do have other special ones like ABC Soup, Pumpkin with pork bone soup, Pig's stomach pepper soup, Signature fish head with yam soup, Special made Healthy Sour soup, Tomyam soup or mixed broth pot. The lady boss here is friendly and service is good too. Fresh ingredients, we love their Sotong balls, Fried wantan, Scallops, fish slices and their homemade noodles! Ala-carte selection style here, prices can be different from the rest that serves in set or buffet style. But nonetheless, it is value for money and their condiments like Fermented bean curd, Dried shrimp sambal, cili padi and sweet spicy sauce, mixed all these combo up and you'll get a perfect dipping sauce! 4. Three Pot Restaurant

When it comes to rainy days, you probably wanted to eat some hot food and warm your tummy. Drop by at Three Pot Restaurant in Puchong and try out their claypot frog and claypot porridge! Moreover, the owner of the restaurant also recommended us a few dishes such as Kung Po frog, Stir Fried frog with Ginger & Spring Onion, Claypot minced meat and preserved egg porridge, spring roll and 2 style fried Kailan.
