Korean wave had hit us in many ways, be it music or dramas! One thing that we are sure enough is that Korean food had set a place in our hearts especially their awesomely good Korean BBQ! Hot weather leads to thirsty and dehydrated soul, so why not let’s figure out some awesome places for a bowl of Korean dessert that cools and soothes you down instantly? Bingsu is the answer! Bingsu – a Korean dessert that makes everyone crave for it! What’s so good about it? Let’s take a look at them now! (The restaurants are listed in no particular order. Some of the establishments below are not halal)

1. BingSu Café @ Uptown, PJ

The latest Korean dessert bar had finally landed at this location whereby A Pie Thing, Epicuro and a few more once-hype eateries are at the same location. If you’re looking for something chilling, look no further. BingSu Café, a premium Korean dessert café serving bingsu, toast, ice-cream & sorbet and drinks, will sure to be your favorite! Look at this bowl of Triple Berries Bingsu, it will sure to melt your heart straightaway. Such a generous amount of blueberries with a scoop of ice cream! The shaved ice is quick milky soft and fine in texture. Sweet and sour, what a bowl of delighting dessert you could ask for!

2. Café Korea @ Sri Petaling

It might be quite hidden from sight if you didn’t notice their signboard, especially if you’re looking for a parking spot. Don’t worry, after reading this; you know it’s the time to visit them up! Serves good Korean food ranging from the famous Jjajang Myeon (Black bean sauce noodles), Bulgogi, Kimchi and the star of the day – Bingsu! Not forgetting to mention, their Jjajang Myeon is to die for too. Well, back to their bingsu, they have up to about 14 flavors of Bingsu to try from! Looking from this bowl of Heuk-Imja Bingsu with soft milk ice and topped with almonds, red bean paste, Korean mochi and Black sesame seeds! Soft milky taste, crunchy almond flakes sweet red bean paste and chewy yet soft mochi; it keeps you scooping more and more without stopping!

3. OW:L Espresso @ Subang SS15

The Koreans loved it, how could you not? Another place spotted that is owned by Korean and bringing you the best of it. A cosy café that is located just besides INTI University College building, they serve Bingsu that is equally delectable! They say it’s always the best to be spoilt with choices. Start with their Signature bingsu – Injeolmi bingsu, a version of rice cake made from glutinous rice. With small pieces in it, the bingsu is then dusted with yellow bean powder! Topped with Red bean paste, pistachios and almonds! No worries of getting messy because it will be when you start to dig into it and mix it up with the bean powder!

4. Dal.Komm Coffee @ Damansara Utama

A South Korea coffee chain had landed in Malaysia now with a few outlets around the Klang Valley area! A cosy and interesting interior, you can find iPads that is pre-loaded with loads of songs and you can find a guitar there too! Basically having an extensive menu, they serve one of the best Korean desserts of Bingsu here that is way too impressive and interesting flavors too! Their best seller, Choco Lava Bingsu is the best sweet treat ever here! The chocolate lava is advisable to be eaten separately and enjoy the rest of the chocolate bingsu ‘shaved ice’ with some good music and environment too!

5. Villa Ju Bakery @ Solaris Mont Kiara

A bakery café that produces fresh pastries and coffees daily, this is a place that gives you true relaxation by all means. Having a little bit of everything here from spaghettis, cakes, breads, sandwiches, breakfast and brunch; not forgetting about Bingsu too! Looking at this Oreo crunch Bingsu, taste milky, soft and smooth while biting crunchy oreos and drizzle of caramel sauce on top of it makes it taste so good. Served in the right size, they are in a good portion as you wouldn’t feel over indulging in it. As for the fruit Patbingsu, they have it in 3 sizes from ‘Friend’, ‘Family’ and ‘Party’ sizes. Get your way here for some awesome food and environment today!

6. Namoo on The Park @ Publika

A Korean dessert café that is still hype after years in Publika, they serve one of the best Korean bingsu desserts too! Known for its Rice burgers, you’ll sure to love them if you’ve tried them – well, at least once. Look no others at the moment, let’s get something chilling and cooling. The King’s Bing Soo served with shaved ice with rice cakes, red beans, strawberries, kiwi, bananas, peanuts and a scoop of Ice cream plus it is sprinkled with bean powder too! It is always the best choice to mix everything up to get the perfect ratio so you’ll get to taste everything in it! The portion is always very good for sharing especially for the ladies who crave for dessert but wanted to stay on a diet. A modern and comfortable place to hang out with your buddies!

7. Caffe Bene @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Originated from Korea, you can find them around Klang Valley now! A place that is always overwhelming, patrons are willing to queue for a table too! Well, at Caffe Bene, the environment is relaxing and cheerful that makes it a fun place for gatherings with friends especially couples who loves to have dessert during dates! Their sweet indulgence of Bingsu is their main attraction! Having quite some good selections of Bingsu, each of the flavors are worth a try! Their gelato are homemade, thus you should try their Coffee Bingsu (for coffee lovers like us!). Topped with red beans, coffee gelato, cereals, nuts, chocolates and espresso – everything is just too good to be describe! Go Caffe Bene and brace yourself through the queue!
