Plus One

 

20 OpenRice members were invited to Plus One Shabu Shabu to have a sumptuous meal on 31st July!

Plus One located at One Utama Shopping Mall is the first shabu shabu restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. They are famed for serving Hong Kong style shabu shabu with fresh and high quality ingredients.

Since we had some new members joining us for the first time, we played an ice-breaking game to let everyone get acquainted with each other. The game was a “Draw and Guess” game involving two competing groups with 3 members in each group. It seemed that some participants were talented at drawing!

Before we started our food tasting, the owner shared with us the correct way of having shabu shabu. The best part about having shabu shabu is that you can enjoy the true flavours of freshly cooked foods.

The owner brought us to the sauce counter to show us how to mix different dipping sauces together to enhance the taste of food.

A few popular soups were served, including Fish Soup, Pork Bone Soup, and Tom Yam Soup.

In addition to a standard steamboat set, the restaurant had also offered us a generous number of a la carte dishes, such as Black Pearl Century Egg, Fried Fish Skin, Sliced Grouper, Golden Sand Sotong, Three Season Meat Ball, Drunken Chicken and Thinly Sliced Meats, to satisfy our palates!
