Oh yeah, I love ribs!

More than 10 lucky OpenRice members were invited to join our MakanVenture food tasting event on 8th May. We went to The Palazzo located at Cheras to enjoy a sumptuous spread of delicious Western cuisine for FREE!

When all participants had arrived, the restaurant’s owner and manager gave us a brief intro to the restaurant and food. What makes Palazzo special is that all their dishes are made in the kitchen from scratch without the use of any artificial ingredients to ensure all foods are natural and healthy.

Before the dishes were served, we played a game to experience the fun of food tasting. Three participants were chosen to try the restaurant’s popular Spanish Tapas with their eyes covered. They had a hard time guessing what they had tasted, since the tapas contained rare and delicious salchichon iberico bellota.

They were requested to share what they felt about the dish that they had just tried, and Jessy, an active OpenRice member, was voted as the best reviewer and won a restaurant voucher!

After the game, more than 10 mouth-watering Western dishes were served. The portion of each dish was so big that we were having a hard time finishing all of them! Some highlights of the day include Smoked Salmon Salad, Pomodoro Seafood, Ocean Mackerel, Minty and a A Little Lamb, and Roasted Pork!

Another interesting and delicious dish was “I Love Ribs”. The ribs were so huge that we had to cut it into three parts and shared it among three people! The restaurant was kind enough to provide plastic gloves for all of us, so that everyone can enjoy the fun of eating one whole rib with bare hands!

Before the event ended, we presented an OpenRice souvenir to the restaurant manager to express our gratitude. A group photo was taken to mark the end of yet another fruitful food tasting session!
