Restaurant Juro

What a wonderful and porkalicious MakanVenture food tasting we had at Restaurant Juro on 22nd May!

10 active OpenRice members were invited to this event to savour more than 10 delicious Western dishes for FREE!

Before the food tasting started, the restaurant’s owner, Terry, gave all of us a brief introduction to the restaurant’s background. Apart from the restaurant business, he is also a supplier of pork products for hypermarkets in Malaysia.

The event began with an ice-breaking game for members, especially new members, to get acquainted with each other. Three participants were randomly picked to try a mystery food (Juro’s signature bacon) with their eyes blindfolded.

They were asked to describe the food they had tasted and wrote a short review to share with all of us. Lily, who joined MakanVenture for the first time, was voted as the best reviewer and won a restaurant voucher!

The feast began with soups and salads as appetizers. After the starters, more than seven main courses were served, including German Pork Knuckle, Texas BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Grilled Pork Belly, German Sausage Platter, Grilled Chicken Chop and many more.

The meal ended with a delicious serving of desserts. We had a choice of strawberry pudding, kiwi pudding or ice cream muffin!

After enjoying the food, we had a simple Q&A session to give away OpenRice free gifts. Before we parted our ways, a group photo was taken with Terry and his staffs to mark the end of the fun-filled event.
