Ante Kitchen & Bar Smile Sep 12, 2013   (Related Review)

Vegetarian Pizza (top) and Bacon Chorizo (bottom) - RM27 each

Unlike the usual pizzas which are served circularly, Ante's was a surprising take since theirs were pretty flat and shaped in a long rectangulared piece. The significant point of the pizzas were the homemade crusts, which were thinly crusted to minimize the amount of satiation you'd feel after gobbling many slices of pizzas.

Both pizzas are originating from the same recipe with the exact tomato base. Of course, the vegetarian one, do not consist of meat (duh). Being a meat lover, I still preferred the original Chorizo one which had bits of bacon that I love. The vegetarian one seemed pretty bland and meh after inconspicuously having the Bacon Chorizo haha. But its still great for mushroom lovers as it does pack quite a lot of chunky mushrooms as the topping! Chorizo actually means flavored sausage, in case you don't know.

The Real Bacon Carbonara - RM26

Delish-loving siganture pasta of Ante's, cooked along side pork bacon, onions, mushrooms, crispy bacon, with tons of cheese. Maybe too much of it since it came out extremely creamy and thick, but some might love it for that. I do have to agree that it was like the ultimate carbonara, with the essense of cheese multiplied tenfold. The next time I'd order this, I would request for one with lesser cheese though.

Curry Cream Pasta - RM25

Possibly the best pasta I am unlikely to order on my own since.. curry seemed so absurd to go with pasta in the first place. However baffled I am, this dish came out to be perfect. Although still slightly on the creamier side, the flavor of sweet curry here is amazing, and yet still not overpowering the cream base of the pasta.

Up The Ante Pork Burger - RM35

A classic twist from the usual ordinary or mainstream burger, Ante's gourmet burger differs in such a way that their buns are actually raisin-filled bun, which tasted closely similar to wholegrain wheat bread. It tasted really good that I can even eat it on its own, but when eaten with the patty as a burger? Not so much.

The pork patty on the other hand, was grilled to perfection with the right amount of juiciness I would want from a perfect burger. The idea of pork patty wrapped with bacon and topped with scrumptious egg will never get old (°∀°)b

Sweet Belly - RM23

Literally is pork belly marinated in sweet sauce. This 'siu yuk' meat was extremely soft to begin with, and had a nice cutting of meat with equal portion of skinny, lean meat as well as the fatty meat. I secretly expected the sauce to taste like typical 'cha siu' sauce but it came out enticingly different, and resulted in something sweeter like.. caramel. We tried asking what sauce was used here but apparently it was their secret secret special sauce, that isn't supposed to be revealed. Hahahaha.

SS15 Famous Rojak Smile Aug 07, 2013
Categories : Indian | Stall / Warung

growing up in subang, my parents often used to bring me to SS15's famous rojak on morning weekends, and we'd indulged on them by the roadside.

ss15's famous rojak is actually handled by a few muslim-indian men, and located by the roadside as a small stall with a superb long queue of people waiting for their food. basically you order what type you want, and pick it up later and pay. some people can pack it (tapau) but i mostly like to eat it on the spot as its fresher.

the choices are very limited - you can either get kosong (plain), with eggs, or with the combination of eggs and squid. i hardly take squid so i would mostly go for eggs.

the ingredients inside this big plate are fried tofu-like cake, thinly shredded/sliced cucumbers and boiled egg. served with a good splash of peanut gravy, the entire dish is different from what you can get from a typical rojak as there were no fruits used here. only solely cucumber and their signature fried tofu/cake. having this on the spot is a bonus because the peanut gravy is really sweet and warm, maybe spicy too for newcomers.

Dry Kuay Teow  Smile Sep 26, 2013   (Related Review)

I personally prefer the dry one instead of the soup version and I also prefer to eat kuay teow noodles instead as I felt the flat nature of the noodles goes really well with the dark soya sauce. Topped with lots of minced meat and spring onion, the bowl of noodles are also served with a small bowl of soup with pork meat as an addition. This restaurant really is a great place to have brunch since its near my house ^^

Lou Shu Fan Soup Smile Sep 26, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

Lou Shu Fan, also known as silver needle noodles is a popular needles that mostly goes together with pork soup. It is short, about 5 cm long and 5 mm in diameter and it has a white semi-transparent colour. Here it is cooked together in a pork base sop and is topped with minced pork and lots of spring onions. The lou shu fan noodles always sold out quite fast so its best to head down to the shop early if you want to specifically eat lou shu fan noodles lol

The Imbiss Club OK Sep 26, 2013   (Related Review)

A really basic club sandwich! I was very surprised to see them serving such a large portion oh my gosh. Consisting of turkey ham, smoked beef, fried egg, cheese, tomato, lettuce and tartar sauce. The entire combination of all the ingredients was very good and it all blended really well as a sandwich! The portions was super large too =00

For a price of RM14, I think its super worth it! It was so large in size that I ended up not finishing it and had to pack it back home. If you add RM3, you'd get some fries and a cup of soft drink too lol
