Yam Cake Smile May 30, 2013   (Related Review)

My colleague said that the yam cake served here is quite delicious, hence we decided to order some. The dish came with two pieces of medium-sized yam cakes, together with some choy poh garnishing the top. There were also some chopped chillies and chilli sauce on the side. The yam cake is one of the best that I have ever tasted. There were lots of yam cubes in the cake, and the taste is top-class, especially combined with the chilli sauce. Definitely recommended!

Miso Soup Noodle Smile May 30, 2013

My colleague and I decided to drive to 10 Boulevard to visit Wellness Recipe, to get a bottle of barleygreen powder as well to have some lunch. I ordered the miso soup noodle as it was the lunch set of the day. Priced at RM15.90, it comes with a glass of honey lemon tea. The noodle is done quite well, slippery and chewy it is quite enjoyable. The soup is miso-based, hence there is a pungent smell of miso, which I like very much. The ingredients were aplenty, with julienned carrots, some yau mak and tau pok. Quite light and delectable.

Chicken Burger OK May 30, 2013   (Related Review)

My friend has a huge appetite, so she decided to order the chicken burger, which sounds like a rather big portion from the menu. When the dish arrived, it was definitely big-portioned. A huge slice of grilled chicken breast meat with avocado puree and slices of tomato sandwiched in between a warm sesame seed bun. There were also some greens on the side, together with some deep fried yam and sweet potato chips. I thought that the chicken breast was a bit dry, but the sesame bun was quite nice, warm and fluffy. Overall just so-so.

Deep-Fried Calamari Cry May 30, 2013

Since I had quite a good experience with Plan b in Paradigm Mall for brunch, I decided to drop by there with a girlfriend for dinner. I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to order some deep-fried calamari, washed down with some Heineken. The deep-fried calamari was quite a disappointment. The batter was tasteless, and the calamari too chewy, like it was cooked too long. The only saviour was the sauce, which tasted of mayonnaise with thousand island and bits of chilli. Priced at RM19, it is not recommended at all.

Sugar Cane Juice Smile May 29, 2013
Categories : Food court

I was having my asam laksa for my dinner in SS2 Selera Malam. After having it, I felt quite thirsty so decided to order a glass of sugar cane juice to quench my thirst. Since I was sitting near the sugar cane juice stall, I can't help but to see their preparation. The skin of the sugar cane is freshly peeled off when a customer orders. The cane is then pressed using a machine, with the bottom tin cup gathering all the contents. The sugar cane was really sweet, and they did not add any sugar. The ice diluted the drink a bit, but it was still OK. Definitely well worth the amount paid.
