As Kungfu Paradise have some special set meal going on, I have decided to order their Sizzling Pasta Chicken set. The set comes with ABC soup, a choice of drinks (I chose the ice lemon tea) and the main dish itself. The ABC soup came first and it was surprisingly not too bad. It is quite clear, and no or little MSG added to the soup. The ice lemon tea was standard, nothing special. The sizzling pasta however, was served with the waiter literally pouring the black pepper sauce onto the hot plate dish and we literally can see the sizzle before our eyes. However, despite such promising start to the meal, the dish was actually very disappointing. The black pepper sauce was tasteless and flavourless. In fact, the only taste in the sauce was spiciness from the black pepper. The pasta was well cooked, but with the horrible sauce, I could not finish it. The fried potato wedges was alright without the sauce. The chicken was at least marinated and flavoured so I could eat it with a little sauce. With a much better sauce, this dish could be very nice. For RM16.90, it was actually very worth the money if it was not for the sauce.

Deep-Fried Calamari Cry May 30, 2013

Since I had quite a good experience with Plan b in Paradigm Mall for brunch, I decided to drop by there with a girlfriend for dinner. I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to order some deep-fried calamari, washed down with some Heineken. The deep-fried calamari was quite a disappointment. The batter was tasteless, and the calamari too chewy, like it was cooked too long. The only saviour was the sauce, which tasted of mayonnaise with thousand island and bits of chilli. Priced at RM19, it is not recommended at all.

Milo Ice Cry May 24, 2013

Was wondering around the SS3 pasar malam on Tuesday night, wanting to buy some french beans for my tortoise. I was feeling a little thirsty, and I saw a stall selling a myriad of drinks. Decided to tapau some Milo ice to share with hubby. However, I was a little disappointed with the Milo ice as it was quite tasteless. This was probably due to the fact that they had too much ice in it. Not recommended at all.

Three Layer Tea Cry May 19, 2013   (Related Review)

The three layer tea in Apollo is not impressive at all. The tea was very light, hence there is hardly any taste to it. There were not much milk in it either. The brown sugar at the bottom does not dilute easily as it was very thick. There was also a lot of ice being put in, contributing to the diluted taste. Priced at RM3.50, it was quite expensive given that I was pretty much drinking cold weak tea.

Beef steak Cry May 18, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

Apart from the typical Italian food that Pizzeria serves, they also serve steak. The steak took among the longest to arrive. However, when the steak arrived, the colour does not seem too right, as it was too lightly coloured. It comes with some sliced mushrooms and lettuce as sides.

The steak was actually quite large. However, upon the first bite I find that the steak was overcooked. It was dry in the middle, and it does not have any juiciness inside it anymore. The biggest problem was that it was too rough, and it was hard to swallow in the end.

Perhaps this is a lesson not to order steak in an Italian restaurant.
