Hon Kee Porridge Smile Jan 13, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Porridge

Raw Fish Porridge RM6.80 - This is their first signature porridge, raw fish porridge or we called it 生鱼粥. The porridge is already soft and smooth, and not to forget, the sweetness of the porridge, it will still delicious even plain porridge. Mix all the raw fish slices into the porridge as soon as they're served, to slowly cook it. You can taste the freshness and sweetness of the raw fish.

Pork Innards Porridge RM7.00 - This is another signature porridge, pork innards porridge, normally we called it "猪杂粥".Pork innards porridge required a lot of hard works, this is why nowadays lesser and lesser people are selling this. For this, all the pork innards all really fresh. We like the fried intestines so much, so crispy.

Spring Onion Frog(Small) RM12.00 - This is also one of our favourite, the frog is really fresh and the meat is tender.

Fried Intestine RM4.00 - You can definately add on this if you like this very much.

Tony Roma's @ Jalan Yap Kwan Seng Smile Jan 13, 2012

We heard of Tony Roma's for quite some times and they are famous for their ribs. Since their menu in Malaysia is halal, so we guess it should be beef rib. As we didn't eat beef and don't know much about Tony Roma's, we didn't make up our mind to dine in this american restaurant chain until we came across this Groupon deals. We decided to bought a coupon for it and give it a try.

Our bottomless juice, Mango and Apple juice. You may try the different juice since is bottomless. ( RM8.90 each )

Soup of the day was mushroom potato soup. It came with a small packet of crackers to dip in the soup. Tasty and nice.

We chose The Grilled Salmon served with side dish of flavoured rice and broccoli. The thick fresh salmon is just nicely grilled on the outside, yet so juicy and tender inside with each bite. Don't forget to give your salmon a squeeze of lemon, it will make the salmon even tasty. We just can't stop eating and the more we eat it, the more we will love it. It is just great. Lilo love the broccoli very much and she finish most of it, so i think you can imagine how fresh is it. I prefer the flavoured rice, it's much more nicer than Manhattan Fish Market's garlic rice. The only thing is that we not really like the garlic scampi butter, the waiter didn't ask us which one we wanted. I think the kickin sauce will make the meal even perfect.

We complete our meal with dessert, Apple Crisp A La Mode. They are doing promotion, so we just have to pay for RM9.90 instead of RM14.90. Apple Crisp A La Mode is a deliciousblend of apples, cinnamon and sugar, baked to golden perfection with a crumb topping, served with a generous scoop of vanila ice-cream and drizzled with caramel topping.Although this dessert is taste a bit sweet for us and the vanila ice-cream is not as smooth as what i had at Molten Lava, but i really like the apples very much. So i still think it's a worth try.

I love this Tony Roma's at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, really impress with it's environment. Personally prefer the calming and comfortable atmosphere, we really don't feel like leaving.Meanwhile for those who love party, they can chilled out at the bar area and enjoy their drink.

I like Kenny Rogers and most of the time i will go to this branch at the curve. I like the food and service here. This is the Quarter chicken meal with 3 side dishes, fruit salad, potato salad and salad. For the chicken flavour, i choose BBQ. But after taste it, i think i still prefer black pepper sauce. I like their side dishes and of course the chicken. It is very tasty.

For this time, we head to the Henry Cook at SS2 Mall.

This is the Henry Cook Laksa. This is really surprise us. They used laksa noodles instead of the yellow noodles or mee hoon. The laksa noodles is so smooth and it taste well with their laksa soup. The soup is perfect touch with the coconut cream.Overall this is a nice and special laksa noodle
