Go Noodle House, one of the restaurant that serve good quality noodle at Publika, they offer you a really good bowl of noodle at affordable price, without sacrifice the taste of the noodle.

You will be greeted with authentic Chinese decorations the moment you step into the shop. From the wooden furniture, the red lantern, the brick wall and even the dress code of their waiters, everything is almost the same as what we can see from traditional chinese drama. It gives you a delusion as if you are back to hundred years ago, where everything is old but nostalgia! Here’s a little sneak peek of their menu. Besides main dishes, you can choose different kind of side dishes as well, ranging from pork ball, fish ball, fish paste and etc. The varieties of side dishes will definitely satisfy your picky taste bud.

Trio special dark sauce noodle, which is also one of their signature noodles, comes together with black fungus, fried anchovies, minced pork, fried shallot and complementary bowl of soup. For the noodles, you can actually choose from thick noodles, thin noodles and pinched noodles according to your liking.

Their dark sauce noodle tastes average, springy noodles pair together with the crunchiness of black fungus and fried anchovies, nothing really surprise me but the texture of the noodles considers quite good.

What I would like to recommend is their Superior soup pan mee, which is really surpass my expectation! The rich broth simmers with fresh fish and pork meat completely stole my heart away. Simmer with fresh ingredients the broth brings the freshness of the dish to the next level; I ensure that in the end you will finish the whole bowl of soup irresistibly.

I’m not the soup-based mee kind of person because most of the soup mee goes very tasteless, but this Superior soup pan mee is super savory and aromatic! The chewy noodles absorb the soup and make me can’t stop after having first mouth! It just slurps into my mouth smoothly and I was like “omg how can this tastes so good!”

Overall, if you are looking for a good bowl of noodles to cure your hungry tummy, head over to Go Noodle House, they have few branches located at klang valley too!

Nowadays café culture is flourishing rapidly and Leaf & Bean is one of the cafes that you couldn’t afford to miss out in Cheras area. Even though Leaf & Bean is just a small shop but it is super cozy. When you are waiting for your meal to be served, remember to take a look at their unique decorations at every corner. You’ll be able to find a small couch and magazines at the café, definitely an ideal place for you to have cuppa of coffee and unwind yourself!

This was my second visit to this café and I found out that there are a lot of students occupied there. You have to place your order and pay your bill at the counter, after that, just sit back and wait for your food to be served!

Leaf & Bean pays a lot of attention to every small details, for example their menu, which I really love it so much. Instead of using pictures to display their food, they use drawing and doodle to sketch out the food, it gives you a kind of “ zakka” feel and I’m awed by their creativity.

I went for one of their breakfast set and by paying extra Rm4, I got to enjoy their cappuccino. The temperature of the cappuccino is just right, you can slurp it smoothly once it’s served to ensure the taste is sustained.

This breakfast set consists of toast with ham and cheese, baked beans, scramble eggs and salad. The toast tastes quite good, nothing can go wrong with cheese right? It might look small but the toast is enough to make you feel stuffed. Simple but fulfilling. However, their scramble eggs are a bit too dry to my liking.
Worth a try!

This Japanese curry is the boom! Came together with salad, carrot cubes, potato cubes and chicken cutlet. The portion is really huge! I’m impressed by their Japanese curry sauce given that it’s not a Japanese restaurant but the taste is quite authentic. Besides, I bet they simmer their carrot cubes for quite a long time because it tastes like mashed carrot, it literally just melts in your mouth! I love how soft and moist their carrot cubes are!

On a side note, I would recommend you to try their pearl milk tea. We can rarely see café that serve milk tea but their milk tea has got the kick! Milky tea matches with chewy pearl, perfect!

Brats & Uni Cafe Smile Apr 30, 2016

We were searching for unique café which serves main dishes and desserts to celebrate the birthday of my sister. After reading reviews from internet, we decided to visit Brats and Uni café which is located at Bukit Beruang, Malacca.

We were greeted by beautiful decorations when we first stepped into the café. The ambience is super cozy and yet romantic, definitely a nice place for couples to date and a place for youngsters to hang out.
The tenderness of the meat took me by surprise.

The tenderness of the meat took me by surprise.

My sister opted for their grilled chicken; it’s served with potato wedges, lettuce salad and cherry tomatoes. I took a small bite of the chicken and totally got blew away by how tender the meat was! The chicken is well-marinated, grilled perfectly without losing its juiciness and the sauce complemented well with the chicken.
I went for their Oreo waffle. It’s topped with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, cherry, chocolate roll, chocolate sauce and icing sugar. I expected the waffle to be soggy but it turned out so crispy!

Ice cream and waffle are perfect match as the waffle got to balance out the sweetness of the ice cream, the waffle is served warm and it went so well with the coldness of ice cream, everything just literally melt in my mouth. The portion was generous; you may consider sharing it with your friends or family if you are ordering it as a dessert.

Besides, I love the way they served their fruit juice. They added the ice cubes into a small tin instead of just adding it directly into the juices, it kept the juices cold without diluting the tastes! How thoughtful they were right! The juices tasted so fresh.
Their unique way to serve cold fruit juice.

We had four main dishes and two drinks, the price was affordable, just like normal café price, the food totally worth the price! Overall, I love this café, including their ambience and their dishes; it was a very pleasant dining experience for me and my family. Will visit again to try out other dishes!

Delectable Pork Chop Noodle Smile Jun 22, 2016

Categories : Restaurant | Noodles

Heng Long Taiwan Mee, located at Gajah Berang near Catholic High School, serves the best pork chop noodle and beef noodle in town.

This coffee shop has more than 40 years of history, they draws local patrons as well as tourists everyday to try out their noodles. Even the taukeh boss is 84 years old but he still be at the shop everyday to manage the business and guide his workers.

The shop is not that spacious and it consists of limited tables, be sure to come earlier because you might have to wait for empty tables during lunch hour, even on weekdays.

You can get a bowl of small size pork chop noodle at RM5, comes with deep fried pork chop with spring onions sprinkle on top. Their noodle is one of the best noodles I've ever tasted, it looks like flat pan mee, but way more silkier than pan mee, you can just slurp your noodle and eat, the texture is so good and sprincy.

I like to soak the fried pork chops into the noodle sauce for them to absorb the taste of the sauce, though it becomes not that crispy but it tastes super juicy and succulent, the meat is tender and the juice keep oozing out in your mouth.

Their home-recipe chili sauce is also their highlight, it's so aromatic with a mild spiciness, it spices up your meal as well as your appetize.

Besides pork chop noodle, they serve spciy beef noodle and pork trotter noodle as well. You can also opt for their side dishes such as fried pork chop, salted vegetables and pork trotter.
