bean brother Smile May 21, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Coffee

Bean Brother, a Korean operated café, located at a secluded street in Sunway Damansara. The café is hidden among the warehouse areas, but you can always reach it with Waze.
The first impression of the café to me is SPACIOUS. The café is probably the largest café I have ever visited. From what I heard from the staff the café is actually renovated from a two-level warehouse.

The coffee is simply good. Rest assured they took the coffee seriously. Probably the best one in town so far. And their art is different from others, not your ordinary coffee art. They do have a kitchen but I don’t know what the main course is tho. Not really into their meals. But I did try their cookies as well. Worth to try!
It was 9 pm when I reached the café, be aware that their last call is 930. I saw a lot of students with their laptops on in the café. Ever wonder why would someone drive all the way to Bean Brother just for studying? Probably because of the extremely spacious seating they have haha! The only downside here would be you actually have to pick up your own coffee at the counter.

Second Sunday OK May 21, 2016
Categories : Western variety | Café | Sweets/Snack

Last Friday night, I visited the Second Sunday Café at Damansara Jaya. The café itself is not standing out, quite easily to miss it. Just some heads up its just located at the same row as Jing Xuan Dim Sum. The new Atria mall is just behind the row. I will say that it’s a good choice to choose to brew in Damansara Jaya, the neighbourhood is less competition compared to the areas like SS15 ,Damansara Uptown, Kota Damansara.

By the time I reached the café its already 10pm, the kitchen was closed by that time. My only choices was cakes and cakes only. So I had no choice but to go for the Salted Caramel Cake. Nothing much to shout about, I am not really a cake lover after all.

Their coffee was surprisingly good. For me, a good cup of coffee should be just right for my sweetness and good art.

Toast Box OK May 20, 2016

Categories : Malaysian variety | Burgers / Sandwiches | Noodles | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

Located at the ground floor of Nu Sentral, stragically facing the main roads ,it’s not hard to spot the Toast Box if you were finding a place for some traditional breakfast.
From the menu we can see that they offer a wide options of foods, ranging from their signature toast sets (peanut butter, traditional kaya, French thick, otah-otah), Asian food (nasi lemak, tom yam, laksa), sandwiches, side dish, desserts etc

The above picture shown is one of their breakfast set (hot coffee+nasi lemak). The half boiled eggs are not included in the set, but you can always add on. Judging from the portion of their bungkus nasi lemak , I will say that it’s a bit pricey.

Got to try their laksa. Nothing much to shout about. Just so so.

Address: LG-26, Lower Ground Floor, Nu Sentral, 201, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, 50470          Kuala Lumpur.
Business Hour: Mon - Sun, 10:00 am - 10:00 pm

Uncle Lim  OK May 17, 2016
Categories : Malaysian variety | Kopitiam | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

On last Saturday I was doing my grocery shopping in Mydin Mall , and thereire get a chance to try the Uncle Lim café which is situated on the ground floor of the mall.

One of the good thing about UncleLim is that they serve various kind of food! Like really really lots of choices, you will not have any problem if you came in a big group with different preference. From nasi lemak to western chicken chop to Chinese soups, or some light snacks such as wantan soup, fries ,otak otak, walnut cookie, half boiled eggs etc. From the menu you can see they have variety of drinks as well, but their drinks are a bit pricey I will say. The Cham Ice I ordered cost me Rm4.40, and its way too sweet for me.

For this visit I try their promotion set –Herbal Chicken soup served with red& brown rice. One of the healthy choices you can get here. Surprisingly there is 2 drumsticks in my soups ,I will say that the set is totally worth the price.

JEQ in the house OK Apr 30, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Burgers / Sandwiches | Sweets/Snack

For those who stay nearby Seksyen 17, JEQ in the house is a must go café ! For my first visit, it took me some time to find the café, but its totally worth the hassle! My first impression to the café ? Very comfortable! They have a lot of cute corners designed with strings instruments, which is perfectly nice for photograph session.
Just like any other cafes, JEQ in the house served varies kind of cakes, but it’s a bit pricey I will say, but good for once in a blue visit. You can request the barista to draw some art for you on the dish served with cake.

Not really remember the name of dish, it came from one of the lunch sets. Overall it tasted good, nothing much to shout about.

Their coffee is real good. A perfect kind of perk me up. But too bad they did not have Iced Cappuccino, so I have to go with Iced Latte instead.
Overall, the price could be a little bit high , but for the good ambience and coffee ,its totally worth for trying!
