fusion food.  Smile Jun 06, 2016

one of those few places that i would recommend on trying out modern fusion food here.
They make really awesome homemade lemongrass pandan tea in a pot! Not too spicy with ginger and not too sweet at all. Perfect for an after meal drink.
For the mains, i had the moo moo rice bowl which was a hearty bowl of basil beef tenderloin served over rice topped with fried egg and served with ABC soup.  seriously comforting home food.

italian food.  Smile Jun 06, 2016

when it comes to italian, one must not forget about La Risata. It has always been one of my favourite places with good ambience and food. Started off with the Pizza Carbonara that has beef bacon, mushroom, mozzarella & parmesan. Love their thin crusted pizza.

Besides pizza, i always love ordering the capellini to black with seafood which is angel hair pasta with prawn, squid and roasted cherry tomatoes in a squid ink sauce. Really delicious and simple pasta dish.
Didn't quite like the chicken stew with oil and capers that is a Free range chicken braised with olives, capers, onion and tomato served with roasted vegetables.

and lastly, washing down the meal with a glass of Long Island Iced Tea : Gordon's gin, Matusalem Platino white rum, Skyy vodka, Jose Cuervo Gold tequila, triple sec & lemon juice topped with coke!

One of those few good cafes in Mont Kiara and they serve a variety of desserts from the Accidental Bakers.  Tried the Salted Egg Yolk brownie from them and had the chai latte and a cup of piccolo. ah, comforting mornings! the chai latte is usually served in a pot and its perfect for sharing and you can also opt for soy milk as well!
The coffee was decent too!

Service was unexpectedly fast. Decided to detour here after getting tau sa peah from Ghee Hiang. went for the non-spicy version of the char kuay teow and it came within 10 mins after ordering. and super suprised to see chinese sausages in it! Prawns were big, fresh and juicy. Love that it was fragrant and not the typical black CKT you always get in KL.

dinner Smile Jun 03, 2016

one of those few places to stop by when you're around batu ferringhi in penang after an evening stroll. We decided to have dinner here. Had the classic burger which is the smaller version of the Hard Rock burger which has beef patty, and we switched the seasoned fries to mash potato and topped it off with a choice of cheddar cheese for an additional RM 4. Pretty decent for an American burger.

We also underestimated the size of the Famous Fajitas as the portion size was humongous. Chose the grilled chicken for tonight and it was served with  pico de gallo, Monterey Jack, cheddar cheese, guacamole, sour cream and warm tortillas. really loved this whole combination of adjusting how much goes into ur meal in this. Perfect for sharing.

We finished off the meal with a refreshing cup of Mojito which had Bacardi Rim muddled with fresh mint and lime topped with club soda.
