We went to Tanzini Upper Deck at 29th floor in G tower. We tried lollipop scallops. It was a grilled scallop on a stick coated with caramelized suger. It was very sweet and nice. Totally a different feeling I ever had before. Nice!

I also had the Halibut- Salmon “Mokume Gane” which was a dish inspired by Japanese mixed metal patterns. In this this dish, they are using the halibut and salmon that results in the orange/ white pattern. This is very Japanese for me and the fresh fish really make it very interesting and delicious

Hakata Soup Gyoza Smile Feb 28, 2013   (Related Review)

Next, I had the Hakata Soup Gyoza (RM 15). Instead of the usual pan fried Gyoza, this is soup style. The Hakata Soup Gyoza is served in tonkatsu soup with some ginger in it. The gyoza is really nice after
soaking inside the tonkatsu soup, which gives it much more flavor than the pan-fried version.

I also had the Goma Q a.k.a the Japanese cold cucumber which is very crunchy and good as a starter. The crispy corn is my favourite snack at Hakata due to some seasoning and paprika on top, which I cannot stop munching on it. Nice!

Curry Cheese Haru Maki  Smile Feb 28, 2013

I went to Hakata Ippudo Ramen at Kuala Lumpur Pavillion before my movie session at GSC cinemas. Hakata Ippudo Ramen is a medium size restaurant located below the cinema and be easily spotted.

The interior of the restaurant is very modern and one thing that amaze me is the “handbag drawer” so some ladies like to keep my bag clean instead on putting at the back of my chair or on the table. Good idea!

I started off with some appetizer, which is the Curry Cheese Haru Maki (RM 10). The Curry Cheese Haru Maki is actually a spring roll with some cheesy cheese inside and crunchy skin outside. It is nice to have the curry taste too so that it is not too cheesy

Sid’s burger Smile Feb 28, 2013   (Related Review)

Next, I tried their house special Sid’s burger. You can choose either chicken, lamb, pork, and beef patty which of course I choose PORK! The burger includes the pork patty with bacon and cheese. If you like add more topping for an extra RM 2 each or make it double happiness (double patty) for RM 28. That’s quite an affordable price to pay for such a big burger.

I love Sid’s burger! The pork patty is very fresh and properly grilled. I love the way the cheese oozes out every time I take a bite on it. I usually will order some Coke to eat together with the burger. Nice!

BBQ Pork Ribs Smile Feb 28, 2013   (Related Review)

I also tried the BBQ Pork Ribs (RM 16). For that price and portion, it is quite affordable for me. The meat is really tender and juicy which I licked it all clean.

As for the fried sausage, onion and chilies, this makes a very snack or appetizer that goes well with any kind of beer. The fried sausage is very meaty and it’s best to eat all together in one. When you’re at Sid’s pub, the environment will tempt you to order some beer in order to blend in with the environment, which in this case, I am tempted.. haha!
