Ulam Fried Rice  Smile Jan 31, 2013

If you missed some Nyonya food in Melaka, fred not, just head to Fat spoon in Damansara Utama to satisfy your cravings.

I had Fat Spoon’s Ulam Fried Rice priced at RM11.90. The rice was nicely seasoned and fried to perfection. It is enough “wok hei” in this fried rice. The fried chicken was juicy and finger-licking good.

I also ordered some popiah. The portion is nice but there’s nothing to shout about regarding the taste.

I come back to Hong Park Sa Korean Restaurant not for the barbeque this time, but for their signature Samgyetang (a.k.a Ginseng Chicken Soup). The special thing about this soup is that, a whole young chicken is stuffed with glutinous rice and boiled in a broth of Korean ginseng, dried dates, garlic, ginger and other herbs. To enjoy this dish better, the chicken should be broken up to release the glutinous rice into the soup. It is so refreshing and healthy! You should try during the hot weather to cool down the body temperature.

Pork Barbeque Set Smile Jan 31, 2013

Barbeque dishes are very common in Korean cuisines. I always go for either chicken or pork as both taste well when barbequed.

The serving of the barbeque meat always comes together with onions, green chilies and barbeque sauce. In order to have the best taste of barbeque meat, you wrap the salad with the meat, garlic and chili and eat it in one shot! So yummy and healthy at the same time! smile

Flam's Chicken Smile Jan 31, 2013

Flam’s is very popular with their thin crust pizza. But I didn’t order the pizza. Maybe next time! I had Flam’s Chicked priced at RM 26.80. The chicken was marinated and slowly cooked in an oven. Although I didn’t fancy any dishes that cooked with an oven, this chicken was cooked in perfection! Chicken was very tender and juicy. The sauce that comes together really brings out the flavour of the chicken even more. This is really good finger best taken with some good German beer. Yummy!

Beef noodle (beef pho) Smile Jan 31, 2013   (Related Review)

I’m back to Sao Nam Vietnamese Cuisine again to satisfy my craving for Vietnamese food. Another must have Vietnam dishes is the beef noodle soup or Beef Pho. It is priced at RM 18.00 per bowl. This is definitely for beef lover as it is full with lots of beef slices.
I really like the way they serve the Beef Pho in a large bowl with lots of beef and soup. I am surprise that there is no beefy smell at all and how clear the soup is (not oily at all). Definitely must try when you visit Sao Nam Vietnamese Cuisine!
