Roast Chicken Rice Smile May 30, 2013   (Related Review)

The roast chicken rice here is quite nice. The stall operates till late afternoon, perhaps till night. The stall also sells roast duck, roast pork and char siew. I prefer their roast chicken over other stalls. The aroma of the roast chicken is very nice, with a slight crispiness at the roasted chicken skin. The chicken was not too fatty, and it was tender. I also love the aromatic butter rice.

Ordering so many meaty dishes, we have to balanced the meal by ordering a vegetables. The beansprouts made the way to our table very quickly. The big fat juicy beansprouts actually reminded me about the beansprouts from Ipoh, it seems that this beansprouts has some similarity to the one in Ipoh. The beansprouts were nicely blanched and some soy sauce and sesame oil added for flavoring.

We also ordered the bone part. This is quite a big bone, is a different part of the pork. The bone is big, and there were also lots of meats around the bone. The meats are lean meat, but it doesn't taste rough. The meat around the bone is quite tender and easily peel off. I love this part of the pork, as the meat is quite tender and juicy. The bones look so delicious, it will be nice to sip the juices from the bone.

This bowl is the mixed spare ribs with half skinny and hal fat meat. This is the must order parts when we eat bak kut teh. I love the spare ribs, it was tender and easily come off from the bones. The pork ribs were lean meat and taste just nice. The half skinny and half fat meat was also very nice. The meat was slightly more fats than the lean meat. The bak kut teh herbal soup was indeed very flavorful.

Pork Trotter Vinegar Smile May 30, 2013   (Related Review)

This is a popular dish that we all love to order. The pork trotter cooked in vinegar is not too bad. I love the heavy flavored dish and the pork trotter. Some parts of the pork trotter are quite fat, especially the skin part. However, the fatness is not the soft type, the fat is quite firm. Actually, eating the fatty part equals to eating collagen. The dark vinegar is slightly sourish.
