Having high expectations, both of us actually ordered half a chicken, as you can see the portion is so big. We regret not because it was so big, we regret for it was really not nice at all!!! The chicken looked so oily, it doesn't have sweetness of the chicken and the meat were tough. My god, how bad could this be? The chicken was so bland, we didn't finish it and felt disappointed.

I was in Melaka and searching high and low for a good restaurant serving decent chicken rice ball. I guess my luck was bad that day, although this restauarant is also as crowded as the other restaurants, the food here was just terrible. The chicken rice balls is one of the worst i have eaten in many years. We actually did not finish all the eight chicken rice balls. They were tasteless, dry and bland.

I remember the stall selling bak kut teh used to be quite good. This time when i visited this place for the bak kut teh, i was deeply disappointed. The bak kut teh with one person's serving include the spare ribs, small pork intestines, pork stomach, button mushroom, needle mushroom and ice berg lettuce. The portion was rather small and the soup was not fragrant and not enough herbal taste.

Pai Tee is always a nice snacks we like to order while waiting for the main course to come. However, our pai tee took longer than it should. We were observing the staff preparing the pai tee near the pantry area. Perhaps he is a new guy, the way he prepare the pai tee was very inefficient. People always said, "the hardest part is the waiting". Yes, so when the pai tee finally came to our table, our excitement and appetite already went downhill. We felt that the pai tee was just normal, with some turnips and crab meat in the cup shape dough. Some sweet and spicy sauce were added on top of the pai tee.

Bibichik tofu was one of the highlighted dishes in the menu, so we place an order on it. The tofu is the japanese egg tofu whereby the taste alone is very nice and texture wise, very smooth. However, i can't really understand the sauce. The sauce was unimpressive and not memorable. The sauce was mild spicy, mild sweet and mild savory. Lots of spring onions, crushed peanuts on top of the tofu.
