Northam Beach Cafe Smile Aug 07, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Malaysian variety | Western variety | Food court | Noodles

Northam Beach Cafe is anopened beach-side hawker centre with beautiful view of the beach along Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, which was formerly known as Northam Road. It is housed within a converted bungalow which is part of the millionaire's row.

Mua chee here is named as one the best in Penang.he steamed glutinous rice is being drizzled with a peanut sauce. They have many flavors and you can choose on what you want to mix and match. You can mix two from original, pandan and black sesame. Others include sweetcorn, original and green tea. The taste is quite a delicious one where it has the fragrant peanut taste with it.

Joez Coconut Smile Aug 07, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Desserts

The shop, Joez Coconut Jelly is a rather messy place with coconuts all over, which lends to the authenticity of being in Penang. They have a few tables in the shop so you can eat the coconut jelly on the spot. The shop is next to the Sports Toto along Jalan Datuk Keramat where the Petani Road Police Station.

The coconut was simply fresh and nice. Not too sweet, it is made of jelly and you and have the cooling Jelly Coconut which is really a delighting moment in hot sunny day. The coconut jelly is preservative free, and can be kept for a week if properly stored chilled.

Coob Coffee, one of the unique style of Japanese Style of dining in Komtar Walk, Penang. The restaurant is well designed and well located in the Komtar walk. The place is simply cozy feel and it is indeed very relaxing to enjoy your coffee with a piece of cake there.

Pistachio Cake was indeed quite unique where it can be rarely found in many cake shop. I had understand from the owner that the cake is one of the best seller in the shop. The smooth texture and a delighting pistachio taste is really making me want to come back for more.

Traditional fish and Chips Smile Jul 24, 2012

Straits Quay is another famous place for food and what I find here is again my favorite outlet Blue Reef. The shop is famous for Fish and Chips. The shop is having a simple and neat decoration with indoor and outdoor seating’s too. It is always pack during lunch and dinner so book your place earlier.

Traditional fish and Chips is what we ordered and this is one of the signature dish in the shop. We choose Garupa fish where it is served with vinegar and salt for traditional. It can be cooked either beer butter or bread crumbs. The fish is fresh and well deep fried till golden brown and we indeed fall in love with the freshness and the crispiness from the outside and the delighting appetizing fish in the inside

Wan tan mee Smile Jul 24, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

Wan tan mee is one of the famous stall here. This is where the noodles is different from many stalls in Penang where the texture is transparent springy type. The wantan mee here compared the last round i tasted had down graded already. The taste is not really as tasty as before and the wantan is no longer having shrimps. You may order either the dry version or the soup version.
