Kelantan Delights Smile Oct 05, 2013

we had the Gulai Kawah in kelantan delights, where this is mainly found in Kelantan. The local cuisines which is mainly served in the huge pot and it is being simmered for hours. The dish is mainly made from the of prime beef cuts, potatoes and a variety of herbs and spices. The fragrance of the dish is just tempting to fall in love with it and a lot of the dish ingredients are also being imported all the way from Kelantan as well.

Hor Fan OK Oct 05, 2013

Another jewel in the town not to be miss is the Kedai Makanan Hong Lai which is located along Jalan Genting Klang. This shop is recomended by Nigel from Food and Frame and we had dine there this round. The shop is an old shop where you can see the chef frying the noodles in front of the shop with chacoal. It is located along busy road of Jalan Genting Klang, it occupies two shoplots with one of them being air-conditioned and during the night. Parking is a challenge in this area as the parking space is limited. After waited for about half an hour, our char hor fan is finally on the table. The dark wet shinny hor fan is really full of aroma and the “wok hei”. The texture is good and I really love it so much.

Toman Fish Head Bihun  OK Oct 05, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Located behind Victoria Station, the restaurant (Ka Soh) had captured my attention since I pass through the road with Waze after work. It has been sometimes I told hubby that I wanted to try the food there. Despite its inauspicious location, there is not much parking space though at the area. We had been lucky as the owner allows us to park in front of their shop.

What is famous in Kah Soh? We had the Toman Fish Head Bihun which is one of the signature item there. The fish is thinly sliced and and served together on the hot piping soup and slightly thick bihun. I do not really love the Toman Fish Head Bihun here as there is fishy smell on it. Aside, the price is slightly on the high side where the fish which is being offered is not much as well.
Price: RM 13.00

Ka Fei Dian , my first visit there. The shop is being designed with brown bricks along the way and wooden chair. the restaurant is not too packed and ample space of sitting too. We made an order for the buns. We ordered the Roti Bun and Roti KFD. We found the roti is slightly dry and it is not served hot. It is cold and slightly hard as well.
Taste: 2/5
Price:
Roti Bun / Roti KFD – RM3.20 – Promo Tea Break – RM1.60

Imperial pot Smile Oct 05, 2013

Imperial pot bringing the dim sums to us where the outlet had named by Ho chak as well. The restaurant is well located facing the main road and located at the row above Ante Kitchen. It opens from 9.30-3pm and 5- 9.30pm daily and it is indeed a great restaurant to enter to spoilt yourself for a delicious dim sum. The Signature Soup in the pot. The soup is served with a tiny teacup and the soup is one of the recommendation to try for. Served in the unique way with the scrumptious delicious ingridients with it, the smell is incredibly aromatic and warm my tummy too.
