I was thinking to have a dim sum brunch with my family and i am really craving for this since last month. Have some thought to buy the voucher deal from Living Social for Golden Sun, but the location is quite far from house. Coincidence one day before the weekend comes, my dad in law asking us to go for a dim sum..I was smiling and telling hubby shall we get the vouchers or we just browse around KL area any nice dim sum place. Then he thought of Royal China which we have been here before last 2 years where they have 50% discount.

But actually on that Saturday morning, as usual the kids can't wait to go out and we are packing the stuff..hubby suggest we can go nearer place to dine in which is at the Crystal Palm Restaurant Jalan Ipoh. The place is not opened yet at 10.30am and they did not serve dim sum.Sigh..so we just stick to our plan to drive to Royal China . I called the restaurant first and yes..they have DIM SUM. Finally..and they are open as early as 10.50am. Greeted with welcome and we are the first customers to dine in.

The staff is attentive and polite with nice comfortable place to dine in. Helpful and friendly showing us the menu and the kids got their own kids utensils with additional warm water in a plastic cup and straw for all of them. There are no longer any promotions but for Hong Leong Bank card users, can entitle for 20 % discounts.

The staff gave us this three small pieces of dim sum for free tasting. They need feedback from customers and giving us free try. Coconut Mochi, Fried yam with sweet potato and fried wantan with sweet and sour sauce. I prefer the fried yam and the combination of the sweet potatoes.

Stir Fried Radish cake, steamed siew mai and cha siew pau. I really enjoy the radish cake..appetizing and with spicy kick. Each siew mai sizes is really huge and the cha siew pau filling is full too.

We ordered two plates of the shortcrust pastry egg tarts. Compliment to this soft egg custard especially the wonderful yellow colour.
