Me and my sister planned to go MidvalleyMega Mall for shopping. The first question is where to eat whenever we go forshopping. Since Tony Roma’s is having a Set lunch for weekdays we planned tohave lunch at Tony Roma’s that is located at Lower Ground, The Garden (BesideKGB). The restaurant serves an extensive menu like Ribs, Steak, Seafood’s,Pasta, Meats, and Beverages. The restaurant only occupied with couple of peoplewhen we arrived around 12pm but it started filling up quickly for lunch hours. The ambiance is amazing and good lighting. Iordered Mojo Chicken Set. Mojo Chicken set includes of Drink, Soup and MainCourse. Ice Lemon Tea is bottomless. Bread is on the house. They have 2 types of soup, vegetable soup (Clear Soup) and potato soup (Creamy).I choose Potato soup and it was creamy and smooth. Mojo Chicken served with grilled chicken, vegetable, yellow rice and sauce. The chicken was tender and juicy with pineapple sauce. Yellow Rice was aromatic and goes perfect with the sauce. Mojo Chicken @ RM 16.90It was good lunch for us. Food was good and wonderful hospitality but please double check the price of the food before ordering as not all the foods are RM 16.90, some are more expensive as I saw people are complaining when paying their bills so be alert.Service Charge: 10%GST: 6%Tony Roma’s The Garden,LG 217, Mid Valley City,No 1, Medan Syed Putra,59200 Kuala LumpurTel: 03- 2282 8243Fax: 03- 2283 3243Website: www.tonyromas.com.my continue reading

Tony Roma’s pretty famous in KL but too bad it doesn’t have branch in Penang. Hopefully they will open one in Penang soon.Onion Loaf is very big portion, and surprisingly the onion is crunchy and juicy, the thickness of onion almost 5mm. Buffalo Wings is spicy and salty, not so nice. The Original Baby Back Ribs RM60.90, Basted with TR’s Original or your choice of sauce. It look small but the meat make you total full, unfortunately in Malaysia they don’t serve pork instead replace with beef.Beef ribs grill with TR original sauce, sweet sauce and the beef ribs is very tenderAccording to my friend, in Singapore they server pork ribs, which sound more attractive.Read more: http://www.tasteiest.com/2010/06/tony-roma%e2%80%99s.html#ixzz2vcDSfCxI continue reading

I have always felt that Tony Roma's are a little bit better than similar chains such at TGI Friday's and Chili's (very bad experiences there) although their food can be quite unreasonably pricey. Take this dish of beef ribs and chicken tender for example, it was over RM50! Surely the cost price is only half of that. Anyway, let's talk about the taste, shall we?I chose baked potato, and grilled vegetables as my sides. And really liked the grilled vegs, crisp and sweet. Quite refreshing. The beef ribs are well-known here and it was smoky, tender, and full of flavours. The chicken tender were not too bad, crispy but not dry, goes nicely with that honey mustard dressing. The potato though, unfortunately was a bit bland for me. Overall, the portion size is rather huge for me, it looks more like a sharing plate. Will I go back for this again? Probably not, but I will recommend the beef ribs nonetheless. Service is a tad slow though which was a little annoying. continue reading

Sundae DessertOh yeah! You would never go wrong anytime by having a simple sundae to complete your gastronomical fiesta on a sweet note. Even this sundae is conceptually dedicated to those kiddos, but it still would bring smile to the grown-ups too This vanilla sundae is very milky and is also furthered enhanced with some sprinkles of mashed Oreo on top of some drizzle from the berries syrup. The bite of the crushed biscuits is actually pretty addictive, as it helps to inject some aroma of dark chocolates All items are presented in good proportion thus reflecting a nice and balanced taste. Needless to say, one scoop is never enough continue reading

this dish came with chicken lightly sauteed' with garlic, fresh basil, tomato pesto and a hint of chipotle, according to the menu. for the pasta, they used linguine which looks similar to fettucine but slightly thinner in comparison.this dish was actually quite frightening >.< i thought it looked something like aglio olio with lots of olive oil and herbs but in fact they had used small chili (cili padi) in here that made the pasta so spicy!! after the first bite i kept gulping so much water. i liked that they had this shaved asiago cheese layer on the pasta though, because it gives a slight cheesy texture but somehow the spiciness was so empowering it covered whatever taste left in the dish lol. continue reading
