When I flipped over their menu, I found out that actually the price here is always a little bit higher than other desserts shops. At first I was quite attracted by their durian desserts, but after looking at the price, I changed my mind again because it's quite expensive (I think around Rm15). At last I ordered a Watermelon Milk Snow Ice (RM7.80), as I think it would be healthier and I'm also more prefer to milky desserts. The ice is quite fluffy, I would give it a 4.5/5 marks as it's not too sweet, but the watermelon inside is not sweet enough. The sweetness of watermelon should be ok for me as it's natural sweet, so the sweeter the better it is. Overall, it's quite nice for me.

Tong Pak Fu at Mid Valley is hugely popular. It's located at 3rd Floor, just steps away from GSC Cinemas. There's always a crowd there and little wonder, for they served the best Durian Shaved Ice i ever had-tasted just like the real fruit! yums The ice was light and melts in your mouth. Super yummy. Their other signature product Guava Shaved Ice was good too, alongside their hot desserts like Sesame Paste and Double Boiled Pear

As for the fried toppings for the cake, it’s pretty dry and coarse. They doesn’t taste good nor hold any close resemblance to those that are served traditionally. The minced stuff should have contains some light gravy of pickled vege or radish, so as to give it a bit moisture, besides savoring it with some sweet paste and chilli sauce.

Chilled Mango Sago & Ice CreamAs for my friend’s preference, he asked for this dessert, Chilled Mango Sago & Ice Cream, which is visually inviting from the menu. But the outcome is a bit of let down. Presented in a small bowl with a melt-down ice cream which is half-sinking in the dessert, it has definitely deceit its original intention of ‘chilling out’ the mood, by looking at his facial expression, haha. It comes with cubes of mango that are nicely sitting down on the bed with sagos to top it up. They were mixed in a creamy whitish soup, which I suppose is coconut milk. The mangos are sweet luckily, but there are also traces of pamelo pulps to be found within too, but they are slightly bitter, which doesn’t really blend in well with the other fruit. The whole bowl enjoyment is pretty upside down for him I guess, haha. Well, lets just hope the next season, pamelo would be sweeter

It is not that towering tall for it’s of regular size. The icy flakes are delicately shaved indeed, but taste wise, I would prefer if they go heavier on the ocha part. I opine that the green tea flavor is not that eminent in this place and kind of dilute, resulting in only the evaporated milk taste to be noticed. The accompanied topping like red bean and jellies are merely satisfactorily.

Oh my... It is indeed one of my favorite desserts NOW. I am crazy of desserts and I wanna have it more and more and more. Tong Bak Fu is originated from Hong Kong and now I can have it in Malaysia. It was so so so good! Seriously! I mean, it is just hard to resist. I ordered Grass Jelly with Milk Snow Ice and I loved it. No complaint at all. The price is reasonable, the taste is just what I expect it to be and you just have to give it a try then only you'll know what I meant

Tong Pak Fu is having daily promotion whereby you can get different flavors of ice shaved on certain days for only RM5. The picture above is the Soya ice shaved which I get it for RM 5 on Friday. The ice shaved finely, with a very nice presentation. Some side topping come along such as red beanm, taro balls and jelly. The soya is spread evenly in ice shaved; but the taste of soya is not that strong. It's not very sweet in taste, but you can feel the cool and fresh when having this dessert. The t

Cool, icy dessert is more common dessert we can find in all dessert shop in Malaysia. However, Hot dessert can be nice and delicious too.The black sesame cream is quite thick, not very sweet in taste. It have very strong taste of black sesame fragrance. The cream is smooth. The portion is not that much but it's easy to feel full while having this dessert. I strongly recommend to have 2 people to share a bowl of black sesame dish.

This is their Grass Jelly with Mango Topping (RM6.80). Sorry for the blury picture. It's actually like a mango soup based dessert with some cubes of grass jelly. This tasted not so bad, but their mango smell was a bit too strong.

This is their Curry Fish Balls (RM6.80) a try. It's actually fish balls soaked in curry sauce. Their fish balls are really chewy and nice. Went really really well with the curry sauce! This is really good!

This is their Guava Snow Ice that comes in two size which is the regular (RM8.80) and the large (RM11.80). The ice is guava flavored and it comes with 3 toppings which are aleo vera, lychee flavored balls and we think that small balls are sago. Their guava shaved ice tasted very powdery which is a bit disturbing when eating. The aleo vera and the lychee flavored balls are okay but the sago was a bit hard. We're not so sure whether it's undercook or it's just supposed to be like that.

This black balls over here is their Glutinous Rice Balls with Black Sesame and Peanut Toppings (RM4.80). This is actually one of their specialty. Usually glutinous rice balls are white in colour, but their's are actually black. There's no fillings in the inside, so it's just balls of glutinous flour. It's actually not so sweet. So if you don't like sweet things, try this! But share it with some friends, it's very filling!

The double boiled papaya with snow fungus tong sui came with two big cubes of papya, some red dates and of course plenty of snow fungus (crunchy when chewed). The taste of the tong sui was pretty good. Not too sweet, just nice for my liking. I also like the soft texture of the papaya after being boiled.

According to them, this dessert has many health benefits. The snow fungua is rich in protein and gelatin which can improve blood circulation, increase metabolism, whiten and moisturise the skin. Papaya too has many health benefits as it is rich in Vitamin C which can help in boosting the body's immune system.

For your information, Tong Pak Fu currently is having their today's special promotion. On different days, there is one type of shaved ice dessert available at RM 5 instead of RM 7.80. Monday = milk snow ice, Tuesday = ginger snow ice, Wednesday = coffee snow ice, Thursday = horlick snow ice and Friday = soya snow ice. Probably I'll drop by next time for their shaved ice dessert.

Tong Pak Fu at Mid Valley i went last day. I like this grass jelly with red bean topping and green tea snow ice. The taste of green tea very rich. It adds a little bit of condensed milk on the ice let the ice has some sweet taste. Red bean mix together with this green tea taste very nice. Most important that i recommend this snow ice because it melts in my mouth. The feel so good!
