Overall not bad , worth the try and of course the price tag is above average . Visit on 22/5/16, I love the classic French toast (almond), it's taste so good! other than that, I would say not too bad, have try the smokey Robinson (claimed that is new item), and the big breakfast (super awesome fry up) . Coffee does not met my expectations, just moderately. Overall still worth the visit and they are quite crowded during weekend in the early morning . continue reading

Had the opportunity to drop by again for Saturday brunch!  We had mains like Smashing Avocado: maple glazed beef bacon on a bed of mashed avocado, feta cheese, sourdough toast and topped with poached egg. Really love the crispy bacon pieces and the well seasoned mashed avocado.Super Awesome Fry Up is their typical big breakfast and we had the sunny side up egg, beef sausage, beef bacon assembled with baked beans, hashbrown, sautéed mushrooms and toast. Also had the Flounder; soy glazed flounder fish on top of mashed potato! And to fix our sweet tooth,we had the Who Zoo Yuzu; pancakes with Yuzu sauce and the whole dish would be suitable for orange lovers.Coffee was good as usual, a blend of two Brazilians : Pico Mirante and Ponto Alegre on the piccolo! Comforting cup of coffee for the weekend at least. continue reading

Another Friday here at publika right after lunch brings me back to Publika for a quick fix!Instead of my mandatory coffee, I decided to have chai latte and the boy had the passionfruit, orange and yoghurt combination of smoothies for a thirst-quenching session. The chai latte came in a small glass. The foam was velvety and smooth and was finished off with a sprinkle of cinnamon spice to make it more oomph.Basically chai latte is a drink that originated from India. It's a black tea with the addition of aromatic Indian herbs and spices. Everyone assumes that The Red Beanbag only serves out good coffee, but they also do really good chai latte. The chai latte was a tad bit of a different version as compared to the ones served at Coffee Bean. This chai latte has a hint of spiciness to it. Everyone have difference preferences, so this one is an acquired taste. The smoothie was thick and it is best to down it with a glass of ice to dilute it if you are alike to me. I prefer my smoothie less thick, somewhere in between liquidy and thick. The addition of passionfruit and orange brings tanginess into flavour.  continue reading

Its my longest friends ever birthday!. So i decided to rush out from the office and went straight to Publika to celebrate his birthday at the red beanbag. I wanted to go to slappy cakes but i changed my mind because i always wanted to try this estaurant. I went there around 7.00 P.M just nice for dinner. They did christmas decoration which is awesome. Western looking restaurant with some nice food. What else can you ask for? I ordered what is recommended by the waiter. The first thing that interest me is the ice cream cookies! sounds delicious. And yeah i ordered that for RM13 then i ordered the aglio olio RM22 (i'm not up to something heavy that time). As for my friend, he ordered just a chicken burger RM26 (boring ~) They have suggested meal of the day which is rib eye steak if i'm not mistaken.I loveee the environment here. Its not too hot or cold, and the weather was just nice. So once the food arrived, we started to take photos first because the presentation was awesome. The fries for the burger got some seasoning and i liked it. However, the burger was just good as what my friend told me. Additionally, my aglio olio was good but too much mushrooms! Come to the favourite dish of mine which is the ice cream cookies, i really love the presentation (like you are dining at some hotel, lol ). The taste was sweet but i was able to finished it all tho i shared with my friend (like it was my birthday, haha). So we talk all night long (well not that long as i need to go to work the next day, pfftt holiday mood) . And finally i was able to try this restaurant that people has been talking about. Well for me, it was just good. Maybe i should try their meal of the day. Til next time then. Overall: Awesome dessert, great environment, average food continue reading

It was a long queue when we accidentally went on public holiday, but we decided to wait and it was a worthy decision that the food met our expectation and we were super satisfied with our branch. The RBB Signature Breakfast (RM 19.90) with poached, fried or scrambled eggs on toasts, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, beef/chicken sausages, beef bacon, baked beans and hash brown(RM 19.90).This is perfectly taste breakfast which worth for it.The saving grace came in the form of eggs Benedict (RM15.90). The perfectly poached eggs were such a satisfaction. RBB’s specialty baked eggs (RM 17.90) were pretty good too. Perfectly baked with eggs cracked into a baking dish of lamb bratwurst or chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, potatoes and cheese, also served with crusty bread. There is also classic French toast (RM13.90) coated with almonds, served with seasonal fruits and maple syrup. It was so soft and fluffy and the almonds coating gives crunchy bites to it.For all coffee lovers, RBB have nice art and tastable coffee that satisfy your addiction of caffeine.THE RED BEANBAGLot A4-1-8, Solaris Dutamas(opposite Publika’s open space/Ben’s)Jalan Dutamas 1,50480 Kuala LumpurTel: +603-6211 5116Tue – Fri: 8:30 am – 5:00 pmSat – Sun: 9:30 am – 6:00 pmPre-booked dinners for functions available.  continue reading
