You can choose a variety of ingredients such as brinjals, bitter gourds and ladies fingers, red and green chillies, tau fu, bean curd sheets, and bean curd which will then be stuffed with fish balls. The ingredients are tempting and you might choose more than you can eat! After you’ve chosen what you want, you will have to put them into a basket and hand over to the staff. The staff will ask if you would like to add more fish balls and your table seating.
The bean curd sheets are deep fried with fish paste and it is crispy. As the place is crowded and they want to serve the food fast, the oil wasn’t drained properly and it is too oily for my liking. The taste is good and you can taste the freshness of the fish paste.

The remaining of the ingredients that I chose was put into a bowl of yong tau fu soup mixed with some vegetables. The fish paste is fresh where the taste of the fish is rich. Puchong Yong Tau Fu did not skimp on the fish paste by mixing too much flour.

Eating yong tau fu would not be complete if it is without white rice, at least here in Puchong Yong Tau Fu.
If you prefer to add some other dishes apart from your yong tau fu, you can choose chee cheong fun, curry mee and pan mee. You don’t have to worry that for the long wait even though it is crowded. Their staffs are well-trained!

One of the days I was brought here by a fellow friend who insisted that there is this Yong Tau Fu in Puchong which can rival to the famous one in Ampang.

Of course, given such rave reviews, I was raring to go with high expectations as well.

When we arrived there, the restaurant was overloaded with people, and we had to wait for a good 20 minutes before we could finally secure a place. This itself has already risen the bar for me, and I am really expecting something really awesome.

My friend went to make the orders, as he had to select the yong tau fu, and they will cook it and bring it over later.

After waiting for another 20 minutes or so, the food has arrived. My friend ordered a truckload of yong tau fu, and I was worried if we could finish it or not.

The fried beancurds and yar chau kwai was fried to golden brown, and was full of crispiness. The stuffings in the beancurd were given generously, unlike many other yong tau fu restaurants that I have tried. It was absolutely delicious, and surely very addictive.

Next came the souped food. My friend ordered some meatballs, stuffed chilli, stuffed tofu. stuffed ladies fingers and some fish paste as well. The soup was as expected MSG filled. However, the yong tau fu was superb as well. The thing that makes this places special is because of its stuffings. The stuffings were very aromatic with the fish and pork smell and taste.

We left the place bloated, but very happy. The food is awesome, and rightly so, the crowd has chosen that this restaurant is indeed one of the best in terms of Yong Tau Fu. My only complaint is that it is quite hot and stuffy during afternoons, but for good food it is all worth it.
