Heaven happens to be at Bangsar Shopping Centre. You'll be attracted to its variety of cakes and pastries but when you study the menu, it is also filled with interesting concoctions by the Chef.Take for example a dish that is very rare, even in other restaurants, the Greek Quinoa Salad. It is so light and refreshing it transports you to the blue Aegean sea. The yoghurt is a light dressing but the salad is full bodied with a mixture of quinoa and other roasted Mediterranean vegetables.Since Just Heavenly is so utterly famous for it's bakes and cakes, for a main course I chose the Steak Pie. Imagine my delight when the pie crust is actually puff pastry covering a bowl of hot juicy steak. The best part is the mashed peas and potatoes in a rich brown gravy that is so soothing to the hungry tummy. Finally, take a nibble at the petite cheese cake that looks too good to destroy. the cheese is just nice and not overpowering. Of course best taken with a cup of hot javaWhat are you waiting for? Heavens' gates are always opened for those who seek divine dining continue reading

Brought a cake to celebrate mother's day from Just Heavenly Cafe. My sis they all love the presentation of this Red Velve cake, so we bought it at RM68.Based on the shop owner, this cake is rose-tinted chiffon sandwiched and topped with Whipped Cream Cheese. When we try it, the taste was very nice and we all love the cheese taste. Not only that, the cake was soft and when put inside mouth it melt.Taste delicious. continue reading

Hark! The hungry angels sing, "Glory to the new cafe!" After more than a decade of widening the waistlines of cake addicts across the Klang Valley, Just Heavenly now has its own full-fledged eatery, serving cool salads and hot snacks. If there's true justice in the gastronomic world, a thousand slices of this cinnamon-toasted sourdough, topped richly with ripe bananas, nutella, hazelnuts and an orange reduction, will be ordered and enjoyed before 2012 is over. reek yogurt with honey and toasted almonds. At RM7++, the cheapest order here. Heavenly has a well-earned reputation as a bane for weight-watchers, but they won't need to run like hell from this cafe, thanks to offerings like a tangy organic quinoa tabouleh, tossed with roasted Mediterranean veggies, red onions and Greek yogurt. Crab-and-egg tart, flavored with kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass. The filling seems mushier than expected, but that complaint's a matter of personal preference. In the end, Heavenly encourages some sinning. All of Allan and Nigel's signature cakes are present, from Death by Chocolate to Choking on Choc & Cheese and Punishment by Peach (OK, OK, we made the last two names up). continue reading
