My sister is like the sweet-and-sour-pork master, she said it's very yummy. And the portion can totally fight with japanese bento. Comes with pork braised rice, soup, and side dishes.Overall, Fong Lye will be my favorite Taiwanese food place for now.No wonder why so many people que up just to dine in Fong Lye.

The sweet and sour pork was served with capsicums and onions. The presentation was simple: on top of a shallow claypot to preserve the heat. There was no gravy for this dish, very dry dish overall. However, the pork was fully coated with the sweet and sour sauce. The coating was not really crispy. The pork was tender and it tasted sweet, not so much of sourish. The capsicums were crunchy.

Fong Lye has built a reputation for good Taiwanese cuisine since it opened in the Klang Valley. Their SAN BEI chicken set in Fong Lye Taiwanese restaurant is a very strongly seasoned set meal I would say. It comes with three small side dishes, a bowl of soup of the day which is in Chinese style and the rice with the chicken. I would recommend you mix a bit of the sauce with the rice, but not too much because too much of the sauce might be too salty for you. The portion of the set is quite big too, which is okay for sharing between two.

One thing special about Fong Lye restaurant is their set meals that they offer here. Their sliced pork set comes in a big portion, so if you are a small eater, you are recommended to share it with your friend. It has three small side dishes come with it, a bowl of soup and the rice box itself is quite a big portion too. Their marinated sliced pork is very tasteful, recommended for people who like pork dishes. Fairly priced too.

If you think the seasoned and tasteful Taiwanese food in Fong Lye restaurant will make you thirsty, you can try their lime juice here. My friend ordered an iced lime juice and it was refreshing. They indeed used freshly squeezed lime inside, which makes sure that it does not taste too artificial. Also, it is not too sweet, neither is it bitter. Recommended for people like sour beverage, makes you feel good after a heavy meal.

Fong Lye restaurant is a restaurant that serves a wide range of great Taiwanese food. I ordered myself their oo long milk tea on my last visit, and it was quite good. The tea's aroma is not overpowered by the milk's taste, so overall it was satisfying. I think they used the genuine oo long tea in this beverage, or else it would taste bad if they used just some ordinary tea powder. Fairly priced, recommended.
