Din Tai Fung is synonymous with xiao long baos (steamed pork dumplings).I had a fair share of the saboury dumplings and decided to also sample the sweet dumplings as well!As usual, the skin of the dumplings were delicate and succulent. Rest assured that Din Tai Fung uses really fine mashed red bean fillings imported from Taiwan! One is not enough for satisfy my cravings for desserts!I will definitely be back for more! continue reading

Steamed Chickenhot and sour noodles with spicy sesame and peanut sauce with shredded pork noodles was quite a delight.Certainly went well with extra vinegar provided! and love the fact that their noodles were so smooth. pork chop fried rice was super fragrant as well!! Dragon Pearl tea served in a pot perfect for sharing among 5 people.  continue reading

Love their chillies! The xiao long pao is average, not bad yet nothing to shout about. The pork chop la mien is plain, suitable for people who dislike explosive flavours. As for the pork chop, I still prefer kim gary's pork chop. The hot sour la mien is a little bit more on the sour side but it's acceptable.Restaurant Rating:Variety: 4/5Taste: 3/5Environment: 4/5Service: 3/5Clean: 3/5Price: 4/5Overall: 3/5 continue reading

Din Tai Fung is a globally famous chain originated from Taiwan, and it specialises in Xiao Long Bao, a type of pork dumpling filled with soup. We are lucky to have 2 outlets in Klang Valley, although KL is generally blessed with a few good places that serves XLB anyway. Still, this place is worth a visit for all their other dishes as well. Naturally, the must order dish is their signature xiao long baos, although they also have more "luxurious" option with truffle or crabmeat, depending on the outlet. They are sure famous for a reason: the dumplings has super thin skin but doesn't break when you pick them up. With good amount of delicious broth and even more flavourful meat filling. Textbook perfect. I also quite like the dumplings in chili oil. As you can see there were plenty of greens in the filling - chives, I believe. The chili oil is sufficiently spicy and tasty, delish! Pictured above is a refreshing starter: marinated cucumber. It's one of my favourite side dishes, with the refreshing crunch, distintive sesame oil aroma and tiny bit of heat. Service is generally good here and pretty efficient, it's a comfortable place to dine in. continue reading
