Our most recent MakanVenture brought us back to a favorite shabu shabu joint of ours, Plus One. This time around, though, it was at its new Puchong restaurant.
Old and new faces gathered at one table to rejoice in good food and each other’s company for the next three hours.

First things up: house-made beverages to quench thirst!
Now with everyone here, owner Steven eagerly joined in the fun. He couldn’t help but to chat with the members and share anything about the food of the restaurant with them.
And it did not take long for the food to serve. Check out the spread — totally fit for a king! Don’t be jealous, though.
It included the restaurant’s signatures like:

There are 17 different broths to choose from and dip your food in, such as Spicy Soup, Macao Pork Bone Soup, and Herbal Soup. Oh yum!
And how could we not have heaped spoonfuls of house-made condiments to go with the hot pot — from tom yum and Chinese dark sweet sauce, to “Hawaiian” (sweet and sour) and sambal belachan. They are hot-pot must-haves!
“Alright, ‘nuff said. Let’s eat!”
Ever so friendly and bubbly, Steven had been there to keep us in company, sharing the delicious meal and spreading his passion for good food. Nothing feels as rewarding as seeing smiles on the faces of those who eat your food. (Right?)
Here is a big shout-out to Steven and his crew for the amazing meal and incredible hospitality. We had had a blast!
