Doutor Coffee is quite popular back in Japan and Malaysia has recently received our first branch in Subang Jaya. They started out as a roaster and they have since become a coffee shop due to success. Here in Doutor Coffee, you’re able to experience Japanese coffee culture through a cup of warm coffee!
Not only are they the biggest coffee shop chain in Japan, they have more than 1200 outlets in the whole world! Doutor is actually quite spacious, utilizing white interiors which are pleasing to the eyes. They also provide sockets for most seats which provides convenience to patrons looking to charge their electronic devices.
HAND-BREWED COFFEE
HAND-BREWED COFFEE
The coffee here is brewed using Hario V60, a ceramic coffee dripper. Equipment used for coffee-brewing and coffee beans are all specially imported from Japan!
FLUFFY MATCHA
Aside from coffees that are neatly brewed by the staff, there are also coffees that require the patrons to prepare, just like this Fluffy Matcha. The staff will provide hot milk and green tea powder, and patrons are allowed to add however much green tea powder they want into the milk. The name makes sense once you see the result — it looks fluffy!
CRÈME BRULEE
Doutor isn’t joking when they said they practice freshness as their philosophy — they take it very seriously. The coffee beans are freshly roasted and not only that, even the way they prepare the coffee is careful so as to provide the freshest of quality. Beverages that are popular with patrons include Latte Macchiato, Honey Café Latte and Matcha Latte.
CROFFLE
The signature Croffle is special because it’s actually a cross between waffle and croissant! You could taste the bread in its flavour but its thickness also makes it feel like a waffle. Overall very unique and creative.
FRENCH WAFFLE TOAST
Another one of their signature. The toast is freshly baked and is served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, creating a heavenly combination.
MAINS
The food selection is quite limited. Still, that doesn’t mean none of them are delicacies! You should definitely consider getting the Omu Wrap in which several ingredients, especially meat, is wrapped in eggs in a fashion similar to a crepe.
There are also sandwiches, Italian noodles, salad and baked rice. Last but not least, a meal isn’t complete without desserts, so be sure to try out the desserts they have to offer!
